The Bagel Cafe — Restaurant in Cinnaminson Township

Ordered from this Cafe a few times. Bagels have always been OK, just OK. Fresh, but not much flavor and when going into the store it always smells weird. Like cleaning supplies and greasy food all mixed into one (gross), and although I do appreciate that they clean - wait till your store is closed to clean. Cleaning while people are inside eating and ordering just disintegrates people’s appetites. THIS is one point!

Now, here is to what happened at my last visit to this not so fine establishment. I call up to place an order, got an idiot on the phone who had to keep asking me what I said. ok fine, get past that, my husband goes to pick up our order of one pork roll egg n cheese, one ham, egg n cheese and a blueberry bagel with cream cheese. He brings it home we’re getting ready to eat and what does he fine?! A green spot on the bagel, he looks further and sees some inside - he says “my bagel is moldy” so I go back to the store to get a refund and I get told it was green dye. “Ok” I tell this girl, (who then says she’s the owner) “just refund me because that’s gross”. Now, She became extremely irritated with me and keeps trying to explain to me that it’s die, I say “ok, but I still want a refund because if SHE would have bit into a bagel and saw that, she would of thought the same thing”. This made her more mad at me and now she says “I’m calling the cops” I say “YOU’RE calling the COPS for WHAT?” and now I am being told I am trespassing and that the cops are coming.

Oh side not there was the cutest little blonde girl standing next to the irritate owner looking at me with her big blue eyes - she may have saved the situation from Escalating even more on my end. Definitely not on the owners end, she didn’t care that there was an expression-able little child standing next to her.

I take my bagel that she did not refund me for YET and I go outside of the store, because I’m not being arrested for trespassing when I only came in for a refund for the moldy bagels they sold me.

Also, when I walk in, before I asked for my refund and told her why, I made sure there were no customers in the store - I honestly didn’t want to cause anyone any issues - NOT the case with the owner - she wanted to see me arrested - she stood there with a smirk on her face while I spoke with the officer outside.

I’m waiting outside, because I want my refund of $22 so I’m waiting on the cops so I can have them get it for me. I really didn’t care to explain to the cop that I was simply coming in for a refund for green moldy bagels, just my $22 thanks.

What a nut case!!!!

Even if it was green die, which I believe it was - it’s Christmas. Why treat anyone that way and call the cops? I can’t understand this.

I’m not allowed back there LOLOLOLOL … The cop was laughing at her with me and rolling his eye’s like yeah I know this is ridiculous. It was probably the most craziest moment I have ever spent in my life. I’m 45 and never have I ever been called the cops on.

This happened yesterday and I still feel like it was a ridiculous dream.

Do what you will with this review, the bagels are OK, like I said above. Definitely not worth the trip or money, but I’m from New York where we know how to make bagels so that maybe apart of my decision of thinking their bagels are just OK, but now that this happened their bagels are MOLDY and DISGUSTING just like...

Where do I even begin? I’ve been going to the bagel cafe since I was a kid, over 30 years of bagel bliss. Great bagels, reasonably priced and close to home. Lately? Not so much. Here’s how my last two experiences have gone..

#1- I ordered The Tess (breakfast wrap) that comes with a side of sriracha ketchup. Love sriracha ketchup, so I asked for an extra side. When I picked up my order, I asked if the extra side was in the bag. The woman at the register who was ringing me up (and had taken my order) gave me a nasty look and rudely responded “yeah, it should be in there”. Okay, cool. I’m gonna trust her on that. Well, when I got back home, not only was there not two sides of sriracha ketchup but there wasn’t any ketchup at all in the bag. (I get it, it’s just ketchup, I’ll live. It’s the principle.)

#2- Once again, went with my old faithful Tess breakfast wrap. Today, after consuming 3/4 of the wrap, I was 3 bites away from the finish line when upon biting into said wrap, after pulling the wrap away from my mouth, there was a bit of tension between what was in my mouth and what was in my hands. What was it you ask? A hair. A good 7 or 8 incher.

Now, I totally understand mistakes happen and we’re all human but sadly, I think that was the end of my 30+ year relationship with the bagel cafe. There are a few other contributors to that decision, one being that the bathrooms are neverrr clean or stocked with paper towels, which if that’s what they’re okay with letting you see, imagine what we can’t see..

So if you’re still with me, thanks for listening and now I will wait for the snarky and unprofessional response from the owners of which I am sure to receive. Have...

Review Update: What arrogant people. They responded to my review of a simple plain bagel with nothing extra involved so arrogantly. Telling me they were too busy to get my "complicated" order in a reasonable amount of time and that I should go to Wawa instead. Well, you're definitely not getting any more of my money. And I'll tell everyone that I know to avoid this place at all costs. Again, not even an apology. I can't wait to see them out of business. Heres a tip- if you can't handle servicing your customers then you probably shouldn't, and eventually won't, have a business. Initial Review: I know the food is good here but....I just stopped in for a plain bagel, not toasted, nothing extra. But they made me wait way too long just to put a bagel in a bag. I eventually asked for my money back because I just couldn't wait any longer. They need a better system for customer service. It's just non existent here. Good food or not, I'm not going to stand around for lengthy periods of time for something that you just take off the rack and throw in a bag. They didn't even apologize. You're not gonna get any more...
