Update!!!! New salt and pepper shakers!!!
Update: As I said we went back and the place was packed! We chose to sit in the bar area at the big half circle table. The service was excellent despite the long and understandable wait based on how many people were there.
The poor waitress seemed to be doing the bar half all alone, but she killed it! Wish I could mention her by name.
We'll be going back and I'll keep my eye open for an improvement in the salt shaker situation so I can add that 5th star. They are just too nasty looking for me to not hold my ground on the impact of the review.
First visit: Pizza was awesome, Garlic knots were 4 star this time compared to the last time and my son devoured his side of meatballs without sauce. He said they were the best ever. Chicken tenders and fries were excellent and the barbecue sauce is a good one. Highly recommend this reopened version of Curley's, very much like old times.
The food was excellent. Pizza is top notch. Chicken tenders and fries were great. The Salmon was VERY good.
Warning: Chicken riggies were VERY, VERY spicy.
They don't have chocolate milk for kids which was actually nice because then the kids ate their food, but if you need that to be here, it's not.
On the atmosphere. We will 100% be going back. I LOVE the old Curley's feel and really am glads it is open again. However, the salt and pepper shakers are unacceptable and for that I took off a star. If they get new salt and pepper shakers I'll gladly up...
Read moreMy husband and I had dinner and dessert at Curley’s tonight and the food was incredible! Honestly, probably the best I’ve had out to eat in a long time. We started with the chicken and dumplings soup and it was so good I could’ve eaten just that. We decided to get the two for Tuesday deal. He got chicken riggies and I got angel hair pasta with meatballs. Where do I even start? The meatballs were so big and literally fell apart in my mouth. They were so good! I like my pasta sauce more on the runny side versus chunky and I think I could’ve drank it with a straw, it was THAT good. I like riggies but always worry they’ll be too spicy. These were perfect. The flavor was so good I wasn’t sure if I wanted to finish mine or his😂 There was the faintest spice but the flavor was just incredible. Although we were both stuffed, we always get their homemade desserts.. we decided to try the peanut butter pie this time and HOLY. COW. I had to stop myself before I threw up but man, it was delicious. It’s crystal clear everything is made from scratch in their very own kitchen. There was no Sisco stuff there!! The new chef, Kenny, is unbelievable and has such an art. So much that he’s agreed to make our wedding cake😍 The better part? The entire thing was $50 and some change. And that includes my husband’s few cocktails. A 4 course meal with drinks for $50 was so worth it, especially when it was that good. Run, don’t walk to Curley’s! And save room for...
Read moreOur senior citizen bus trip group arrived, we were directed into the basement. There was a small bar, and a very small room containing six or so tables. Some tables set up for the Buffet that was going to be presented. Pizza brought out with two hot dishes. We were told we were getting salad. It never appeared 15 minutes later they put the salad out and we said can we eat and they said yes you could’ve eaten any time by now the food was warm but not hot. The dressing came out for the salad several minutes later. it was very difficult for many of our guests in our group to get in and out of their seats due to the very close proximity of our chairs and tables. We asked if we were getting a drink, they said water. Bringing pitchers of ice and tapwater that was very chlorinated. A few took advantage of the bar to get a decent drink. Many of the seniors did not drink alcohol. Finally, no dessert was offered of any type. Our trip hostess was terribly embarrassed. We looked at all the five star ratings. This restaurant has earned over the years and was absolutely shocked by the service and quality of the food. We ate. Honestly people were so hungry they felt the pizza was very good even though it was cold. The service on the floor above us and the food on the tables looked wonderful, but what we were served in the basement area was unacceptable...
