This is a long review, but it's worth reading if you want to understand the kind of people who will be serving you at this store. In the past I've had very few problems with this Taco Bell, and the food is almost always great. Recently, however, I've either had bad luck or the store has gotten a lot worse.
Last week I got home and realized they had forgotten to give me a Mexican Pizza that I paid for. I went back and explained--they offered no apology but did at least give me a Mexican Pizza.
Two nights ago, they forgot to give me a quesadilla that I paid for. Also, there was no syrup in my soda so I had to throw it out. I called hoping they could do something for me as I wasn't able to come back to the store right away. The guy I spoke to told me there's nothing he can do about it and that I would have to call back the next day to speak with a manager.
Well, I just spoke with a manager: I opened up my conversation by telling them I usually don't have any problems with the store and they have great food, then I started explaining my recent incidents. She proceeded to cut me off, saying "I'm gonna stop you right there. I wasn't the manager on duty so I can't speak to whether that actually happened or not." I guess she thinks I'm lying. As if I would go through all this just to get a free quesadilla and a soda. Anyway, she told me I'd have to call back during the week to speak with the General Manager. She offered no apology, and rushed me off the phone, hanging up before I could say goodbye.
So I'll be calling back for a THIRD time tomorrow, and hopefully I'll finally get a resolution--and an apology.
The customer service at this Taco Bell is laughable, or non-existent. I work at a retail store, and I realize it's not exactly the same as fast food, but at our store the customer is always right. And customer service is the most important part of our job as it ensures a customer will be a future customer. A customer with a complaint would never be asked to call back over and over again, or be rushed off the phone, or practically accused of lying.
I think the corporate end of Taco Bell really needs to review their employees at this franchise--perhaps send in a secret shopper or something. They are representing the company...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEDIT: As I was scrolling through some of the awful Auburn Taco Bell reviews, I saw a photo that reminded me of this visit and the reoccurring theme I saw- I just wanted to stress this point, because food allergies are REAL!
I had used the kiosk to order the food, careful with the ingredient choices as the food wasn't just for myself. Well, after the 20 minute drive home, we find that the 2 beef and bean burritos that I had ordered also has loads of jalapenos that needed to be scraped out to make the burritos edible. The person eating them is sensitive to jalapenos, and luckily, no allergic reactions!
But what if someone else had received them that is way more sensitive, and a visit to the emergency room was needed that evening? Others can't have tomatoes or even raw onions without issues! Or what if you gave a practicing vegetarian some beef in their vegetarian Mexican Pizza and caused some real emotional trauma on top of them possibly physically getting sick since their bodies aren't used to eating meat?
Be careful with your food, please. It's important to get order requests correct - it's not always based on personal preference.
Staff was very nice today, and very busy. One gentleman didn't have time to pull his long hair back, but opted to cover only the top of his hair... Service was fairly slow, as usual. Food was good, just one complaint - one item had bonus jalapeƱos, and bonus items are only a bonus if the person receiving them actually enjoys them...which in this case, that person did not. I was kind enough to grab a fork to pick them out with, but we were all confused about why they were on items that didn't normally have them and weren't requested to have them.... This place constantly frustrates me (usually it's just the waiting), yet I keep going back...What is it about Taco...

*UPDATE: the owner contacted me and sincerely apologized. He made things right. Thank you very much Doug.
If I could give this Taco Bell zero stars, I would. Absolutely terrible customer service. Waited in the store for over 30 minutes for our food. This is not a fast food restaurant⦠No one apologized. There were about 15 customers also waiting for food, no one received their food. When we left a man had been waiting over 45 minutes for his food, no one apologized or addressed the situation. Disgusting customer service. There were about 15 employees back there moving like snails and lots of them standing around as well. When customers walked in the cashier standing around doing nothing would say āIāll be right with youā and would go back to standing around and doing nothing. It was quite comical how awful this customer service was. Better management is needed, if there is any management at all. Do not go to...
