Not sure how long Peterson's has been around, but it was a new find for my fiance and I. Tuesday is our weekly night out, and we love trying new places. The pictures and reviews on Facebook looked great so off we went. It was early and not busy at all, we were 2 of maybe 5 total customers. The bar itself was very nice, modern decor with a kinda old school vibe. We were helped by the bartender promptly as we sat down. But it only took 10 seconds of interaction to figure out this guy had the personality of a wet napkin. Maybe he was having a bad day, but if this was his normal personality, he stinks. Should not be in customer service of any type. He was more concerned with talking about legalizing weed with his hipster friend. Anyways, we ordered our meals. I ordered a burger and my lady ordered a grilled chicken salad. Both items were cooked properly and were good. But kinda like the bartender, it was just boring. This place seems to have so much potential yet it has no energy. Maybe it was an off day. Maybe it was because it was 5:00 on a Tuesday. I don't know, I'm just talking about the experience we had. In no way was our experience bad, it was just very vanilla. I really love having an experience that's so good, that I'm talking about going back before I even leave. But after our Tuesday at Peterson's, I think this was a one and done for us.
P.S. - Nobody is perfect and we all do the best we can to learn from our shortcomings and improve in all aspects of our lives. If anyone of any importance at Peterson's reads this and wants to get better, which hopefully they do, here's another piece of advice. Other than my opinions of our actual dining experience, putting your music selection on random instead of playing the entire Green Day catalogue would probably be a smart...
Read moreFirst off when u go it is a bar so if u want a table make a reservation, and tell them if u want steak, they need a day if u want the tomahawk. Like I said it's a bar when I went it was loud and people can kind of back up into your table. My wife ordered the beef tenderloin steak with potatoes and asparagus. It was juicy, tender, perfectly cooked, excellent. I ordered the day before the tomahawk steak, for a steak that big to be perfectly cooked is amazing. I ordered corn, asparagus, and potatoes as my sides I can't eat garlic wich wasn't a problem at all they did them without it and they were great. Both came with dessert. Service was excellent too. Apparently the owner may be opening a steak and chop restaurant across the street next year. Yes it's pricey for the steak but if u have a little extra in ur pocket eat here u do get...
Read moreWe ordered the burgers fries and garlic parm fries, and an Old Fashioned because I like whiskey drinks. The burgers were excellent, perfectly cooked. The fries were great, I preferred the regular fries, personally, as they are well seasoned. The garlic parm is a cheese lover’s delight for sure, I’ll stick with the regular.
The food was great and the place was empty, we arrived shortly after they opened. Still, we felt rushed and hurried out the door. Allowing people to linger and relax a bit after a meal we scarfed down within a half hour should be normal especially since it was completely empty. I might’ve gotten to relax more and order another drink, but we were essentially...
