Chocolate is Self-Care Tea Studio — Restaurant in City of Cohoes

As a daily tea drinker and a Boba tea lover that lives in Cohoes, I was very excited to hear about this shop opening! I wish it didn't take me so long to finally stop in but im so glad I did, and I will be back very soon and will be a frequent visitor with the buy 10 get 1 Free deal! My mission for the day was to get Boba tea and maybe one of the chocolate blended loose teas that are mixed in-house. I had a hard time choosing which chocolate loose tea I wanted so i settled with the 1st I picked up, rose. But I plan to grab a few more next time, like chocolate with vanilla, orange, currant, strawberry, chai, and more. I couldn't choose just 1 Boba tea so I got 2 lol. One was the Ube and Rose and the other was Taro. Both were perfectly delicious and well made! Next time I'm getting the Matcha Mango and the Banana Bruleé! Can't wait! Lastly, there were some baked treats..I got a cranberry coconut scone, and Icelandic chocolate merengue cookies called Loftkøkur. Both were delicious! There's more! A little friend, a pet Axolotle named Mango lives in the tea studio! And theres plenty of axolotle merchandise for axolotle fans. Wow. I was so impressed by the beauty of this place. And the beauty doesn’t end with the eyes. The tea is served in beautiful dishes, the tea blends are magical, especially the chocolate ones. I really love that they have an amazing lemon vegan cake available.

I’ve seen Chocolate is Selfcare at many markets with their boba tea and their boba tea is far superior to most available. The Boba are cooked perfectly and flavored with a delightful combination of brown sugar and maple (I believe) her chai boba is unparalleled! In the summer she makes specials like lemon aid boba too!

Did I mention she will be holding meditations and hand on classes / events? I can’t wait to check out one of these. As a local yoga teacher (Community Yoga Classes) teaching classes at Paint Cohoes Studio and Gallery I have had the pleasure to get to know the owner quite well, and she bring such an amazing bright energy everywhere she goes. She is an asset to our community in many ways!

My daughter took me and my granddaughters to a fairy tea party. It was absolutely delightful! Kudos to the owner. For $16 you get a choice of tea, every one gets their own little pot, with a choice of children's or adult menus. The menu consists of little sandwiches, sweets and fairy cupcakes!
