Babe's, Bagels & Beans — Restaurant in City of Corning

If I could give this place 6 stars I would!

I have been to Babe's, Bagels & Beans twice now and it has been EXCEPTIONAL both times! I am very particular about cafes and lattes, I use trying different cafes as a good way to get to know new areas and explore, so I have had a lot of lattes from a lot of places.

Both lattes I got were fantastic! The consistency of the foam was superb, the flavors were sweet but not so sweet that it overpowered the coffee flavors, and it came out perfectly tempid for a latte, not so hot that I have to wait around to start sipping but hot enough that it is warm all the way to the last sip! The flavors I got were Coconut Macaroon (9/10) and Toasted Caramel (8/10).

The food there is also quite good! In my two trips I have had the avocado toast and the breakfast wrap, both were very yummy!

I really appreciate and value good and friendly service and in my two visits they were outstanding in all regards! The first time I went they were rather busy and they still were warm and welcoming! The order came out in a timely manner as well despite how busy it was. My second visit was earlier in the day and it was not busy at all. I asked my server what their favorite flavor latte is or a flavor they would recommend and they were very receptive and helpful (thank you for the excellent recommendation friend with the Arctic Monkeys tattoo)! They were very friendly and we had a nice conversation which is something I really love and appreciate at small businesses! The employee who made my breakfast wrap accidentally made an extra one and very generously offered it to me which was a delightful surprise!

The have a very unique and expansive selection of latte flavors as well. On top of all that their prices are incredibly fair! I spend just as much at a fast food coffee place like Tim Hortons for a fraction of the quality and service you can get here! My first visit I went with my boyfriend, where we both got food, drinks, and a take home bagle for his mom, and we were both pleasantly shocked at how low the total was after all that!

Babes BAGELS & Beans gives credit for providing superior service on its web site and exactly what is provided! My partner and I visited this shop on a busy Saturday afternoon and picked a day on which Corning NY was having a event. The restaurant was extremely busy and we decided to order bagels to take home. Not only was the service fast but it was superior. Orders are taken at the front counter bar and menu boards are large enough to see. Marble rye as well as a gluten free bagle are options for those who have dietary needs. Our order consisted of a half dozen of bagels. Blueberry onion marble rye and gluten free made up the order. Bagels are wrapped in separate bags and are placed into a larger one. The packager considerably checked to see if the marble rye and gluten free would be packaged separately or together. Wait time was minimal. Bagels are large delicious and cooked with a golden soft top. The gluten free as well as the marble rye were simply delicious and put in the toaster for added flavor. Blueberry as well as the onion were scrumptious. Babes Bagels & Beans knocks the socks off of NYC bagels. My only request is could you please open up a Babes bagels & Beans in Wyoming NY? Make me love this place please 🙏..First things first. Whatever bagel sandwich I've had the last couple times has been TOP Notch! Great menu and the food has been very good. I want to love this place so bad but... You will wait wait wait for food. I notice drink orders move very quickly but any sandwich find a spot and hunker down. Last time I took my 5 year old smoothie monster thinking she would love it. She had something of maybe a coffee cake bread slice with cinnamon and loved it... The smoothie, she wouldn't drink she said it "tastes like nothing".. 45 min later I got my sandwich and I went and ate it in the truck. Delicious...but would rather have eaten it there than finally getting it and just wanting to leave... I tasted the barley touched smoothie later and I understood the "tastes like nothing"... We make them all the time and I think she was expecting a flavor explosion vs a whipped plain milk taste... I don't blame her for not wanting it... Add some fruit to your smoothies and make in-line customers priority over online orders sitting on the counter while you have a line out the door trying to get in... Get another toaster...something ! Overall great addition to the area this place was much needed. Obviously with a line out the door time...
