Horrible experience this evening... 7/7/19 @ 740pm
Our initial walk in was met by an overflowing trash can next to the entrance surrounded by ants. Didn't think too much of it since it was outside, but was about to get a shocking wakeup call. It began with the bathrooms. Both bathrooms were entirely out of toilet paper. When we notified the lady at the counter, she made it seem like it was an inconvenience and disregarded the information we provided. She continued to take the next order without letting anyone else know. It was not until the fourth person came up to complain did something finally occur with the bathrooms.
Ordering was the next experience... Only a few folks were in line, but the wait to place an order was ridiculous. The young lady at the register decided to take an order then fill one before going to the next person, instead of asking for help from staff standing next to her (of course the staff could have taken initiative to help as well). Each order placed by the folks in line were either incorrect or missing items. When folks tried asking for it to be corrected, the staff would either roll their eyes and/ or sigh heavily. No pleasant encounters or apologies were given.
Not sure what happened before we got there, but floors were sticky and tables were dirty. A drink was spilled in the back room and staff were notified. It took about ten minutes before someone came out to clean it. When they finally did, they mopped up the cup and half the ice and walked away. Someone else then came back five minutes later to do the rest and decided they needed to sit on a chair to mop the area (with little to no effort). Lets just say she cleaned the floor with lemonade. This just blew my mind at that point. We finally left.
I know a lot can happen throughout the day... lunch and dinner rushes, large groups traveling, etc., but this was beyond me! Either it was a REALLY BAD DAY for them or they are just lacking in ALL areas! Maybe Wendy's management or corporate need to view the cameras. SMH.
They need to get it together or think about getting new management or closing their...
Read moreFall from grace..... It's officially the new reality for Wendy's in Cortland.... More often than not our order is given to us with missing items, poor quality food, and incorrect items. This causes a drive-thru nightmare with customers looking to varifify their items, only to find out items that were paid for are missing. Leading to standing people at the drive-thru, while others look to receive their orders. Following the crowd we all do the same thing. Making the situation worse and arguablyl the worst part of it all is the extremely poor customer service. From the very beginning service is non existent, mistakes are not acknowledged, requests are not honored, no apologies for any errors they make. All of this is a normal thing now.... Making Wendy's an Over Priced place that serves poor quality food, almost always under cooked due to the congestion of customers asking for the missing items that we paid too much for, waiting extra time to receive it, unapologetically given an attitude by over paid employees and ego driven "managers" who are oblivious of their role within their respective hierarchy of management as a whole. Sadly, the managers will never truly understand what I am saying here, due to their inability to take accountability and responsibility for their lack of actions in a categories as it relates to their responsibility. They will blame you as a customer for this, always with a narrow minded point of view from fellow members of the staff, to take the focus of their own shortcomings as a team member and leader. Never holding themselves or the staff accountable. The customer base for Wendy's has a lot of resources to make better choices when they spend the very little income allocated for food in general. Wendy's corporation will take a hit financially and respond to late to save face for this location. When they do, they will do it with wasteful spending of ownership dollars on all the wrong things and all the wrong areas, resulting in no change for all parties involved. Sadly, unless ownership is involved with this restaurant we will never have be...
Read moreI got the most unacceptable service for asking for salt on my fries. The whole time I was waiting in line I saw fries come out without any salt go on them. So naturally, since I have received unsalted fries before there and I would like to have more than just a fried potato stick, I tasted one when I got the bag. I simply stated there is no salt on my fries, and asked if I could have some salted ones. I did not ask bouncing up and down with a huge smile asking pretty please, only if you have the time, but I also was by no manner rude or disrespectful. It was a simple statement. I just wanted salted fries. The boy ignored my request the first time, I had to say excuse me to get his attention, and he whips around, snatches the fry bag, throws it under the counter and walks away. The couple behind me were appalled and commented on the poor service shaking their head. I honestly was speechless, did not receive any more service and got looks from other people in the back after he apparently said something to them. I had to ask for a manager who also shot looks from the back. What??????? It was the most awful feeling because I told the manager I just wanted salted fries and did not want to have to salt all of my kids fries myself before going out to the car. I did not make a seen, just wanted salted fries. I just wanted to be waited on. The manager asked the girl at the register to give me some salted fries. The girl was very nice, but honestly, did no one else not care that they just had potato sticks? Why would the manager ignore the behavior of the other employee and ask a girl whom looked extremely busy to wait on me. She was very polite, but honestly, the owner of Wendy's should be concerned. I know the couple behind me walked...
