While the staff is friendly, they fall extremely short when it's busy. I can only assume they are short staffed. I ordered a simple avocado toast to go and waited 40 minutes for it just to be told they misplaced the ticket. There was only 2 people ahead of me when i ordered but i watched all 10 people behind me get their food first. This was after I explicitly asked if they can check on the order three times and they told me it's in the works. As this is happening, I watched another lady wait 40 minutes (I timed it) for her food. She wanted to cancel her order and honestly so did I but at that point I had already waited 20 minutes.. I ordered an avacado toast. They were apologetic after I waited 40 minutes that they misplaced the ticket but at that point I can't get the 40 minutes I wasted back. To wait 40 minutes for an Avacado toast is ridiculous and I will never be risking having that experience here again. If you value and respect your time, just get the drinks, skip out on food. This was an extremely frustrating experience, as I rooted for this business heavily in the past. I can also agree as per other reviews, their Wifi...
Read moreFrom someone who enjoys visiting and supporting local coffee places versus the franchise places, this place didnât really meet the hype and overall rating found on Google.
If you want that minimal yet barn/cottage like aesthetic, this is a place for you. Want a small scratch kitchen menu and slightly over priced caffeinated water and milk? This is the place for you.
But do not go here if you are looking for baristas with personality who are warm and welcoming. Do not go here if you want a fun yet cozy environment. And definitely do not think you can get anything that is sugar free friendly. Itâs 2023. One would think that a place who charges the prices they do can afford to stock at least one liquid syrup that is sugar free. I would not come back here and I would not recommend. Iâll stick with buying coffee beans from somewhere else that Iâll grind and turn into some...
Read moreWhat a pleasant surprise. The bldg that house Southdown is easy to spot but I wasn't expecting it to house a coffee shop. Parked right across from it and walked in to a comforting atmosphere. Wood floors, spacious and airy. Fireplace to your right and tables scattered in 3 different rooms and there is outdoor seating too. Plants and paintings dotted the place makes it homey. I was greeted right away and the gentleman graciously gave me time to study the menu. I ordered chai latte with oatmilk and an egg sandwich with prosciutto and avacado. The chai came out pipping hot and full of flavor (tasting ginger and cardamom) the sandwich was freshly pressed and not salty at all. Definitely like to be back to try any items. Loving the vibe and great to hangout...
