My partner and I stopped by Supernatural Coffee & Bakery in July 2025, hoping for a pleasant coffee and pastry experience. Unfortunately, our visit left a lot to be desired, primarily due to the service we received.
From the moment we entered, the staff seemed uninterested and frankly, quite rude. There was a distinct lack of warmth or welcoming demeanor, which is usually a key part of what makes a coffee shop enjoyable. Interactions felt transactional at best, and at worst, dismissive.
As for the coffee, it was, to put it mildly, just okay. There was nothing particularly special or "supernatural" about it. While it was drinkable, it certainly didn't live up to the name or the expectation of a great coffee shop. The pastries, though not explicitly mentioned as bad, didn't seem to compensate for the lack of quality in the coffee or the poor service.
Based on this experience, I can confidently say that Supernatural Coffee & Bakery is not a place I would recommend or return to anytime soon. We were hoping for a delightful stop, but were instead met with an underwhelming coffee and a decidedly unpleasant attitude...
Read moreI was going to get a large skim cappuccino and was kind of rudely informed that a large cappuccino is actually a latte, so that’s fine, I’ll get a latte. I’m no coffee expert and I’m open to learning. I asked for skim milk and they grimaced and said, “no, I can do whole milk or almond milk,” and just kind of seemed like I was in the wrong for even asking. I know it’s not Starbucks, and I want to support local businesses, but there are many other coffee shops in town who were much friendlier and who do have skim milk so I probably should have gone to I one of them. Maybe the person from whom I ordered was just having a bad morning and didn’t feel like being friendly. But it’s funny how I left with a bad feeling instead of a happy one. Made me remember that a little kindness goes a long way and I’d just rather go somewhere where I feel welcome. Also I was about to order a scone, but decided not to. I went to this place bc it was the only place open at 7:30; next time I’ll just wait and go...
Read moreLiterally the best coffee in town but after repeatedly coming here for 9 months, I just cannot anymore. It’s like the staff are instructed to be rude, indifferent, and mean to their customers. Like, if you want to be anti-service - fine. Just don’t name your shop, Supernatural. The divine is so far from this empty, nihilist drip - every time I leave here, I feel like I’ve been slapped in the face. We all have dark experiences that color our lives, but no reason to take it out on other people. Sometimes you think you are worshipping God - hence the name - but the only person you’re serving is yourself. Also, get to know your neighbors! Treat them like you’d wish to be treated. I’ll take down my review if someone apologizes and makes an effort to change this behavior....
