Dining at Banque is nothing short of a remarkable experience – truly a destination in its own right. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and kindness of the staff set the tone for an evening of genuine hospitality. The space itself is stunning: refined, beautifully designed, and filled with an understated elegance that makes you feel both special and completely at ease. The dining experience was a celebration of craft and artistry. Each course arrived as though it were a piece of art – visually striking, immaculately presented, and, most importantly, absolutely delicious. The flavors were layered and thoughtful, with generous portions that never compromised on quality or finesse. Chef James is exceptional; not only does his talent shine through in every dish, but his graciousness was evident when he came to our table to speak with us personally. His passion and attention to detail elevate Banque into a category of its own. The finale was extraordinary: house-made sorbets and chocolates that were as elegant as they were indulgent, alongside desserts that left a lasting impression. Every bite reflected true craftsmanship and dedication to excellence. In all, Banque offers a dining experience that is sophisticated yet welcoming – the perfect balance of elegance, comfort, and culinary brilliance. It is a place to return to again and again, and one I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who appreciates food as both an art and an act of...
Read moreAbsolutely phenomenal dining experience at Banque! My friends and I were planning to have to have dinner at another restaurant in town that had a waitlist, so while we were waiting for our reservation we wandered into Banque because we'd heard about the delicious chocolates. Well, we were absolutely in awe when we walked in and ended up staying for dinner. The ambiance, lighting, and interior design is so beautiful. The quality of food and incredible flavors of each dish we ordered has left me dreaming about the next time I'll be back. If you like fish, definitely try the salmon - perfection. The burger was also amazing. Everyone on staff was so kind and the owner's family came to talk with our table ensuring we had everything we needed - we ended up having a great conversation and loved learning about the history of the building. It felt like we stepped into a restaurant in another country - if you’re local definitely visit and if you’re in the city, Banque is worth the trip for a beautiful evening and dinner out. I haven't even mentioned the desserts but my gosh - the chocolates, ice creams, and sorbet are OUT OF THIS WORLD. The four of us that were dining all agreed it was the best vegan sorbet we've ever tasted. Everything is made in house fresh daily and you can really taste the quality. One million...
Read moreBanque is situated in a nicely renovated and beautiful old bank building with soaring ceilings and original details. I love the terrazzo floor and the impressive wall light fixtures. The food, however, does not match up with the grandiose space nor the prices. Out of two vegetarian options on the menu one was not available. In the end we all opted for the eggs on a roll which was probably one of the most boring and unimaginative egg sandwiches I've ever had. Since we left out the speck we received a slab of dry scrambled eggs on a soft roll with one side showing a tiny smear of something I would have said is butter but maybe it was the aioli from the menu- about the size of a quarter. There was no garnish, no nothing, just a roll with some egg on a white plate. A deli sandwich is more interesting and less than half the price. The pastry and gelato, however, were fantastic, the pastry crispy outside and moist inside with a lovely cream filling, the gelato was flavorful and velvety. But at $12 for a croissant this will probably be a one time splurge. Bless them if they can survive with this concept, but I would suggest bringing in at least a capable chef whose imagination and culinary ambition can match the prices...
