Hudson Area Library — Attraction in City of Hudson

I don't go to this library often, but when I do I always enjoy myself. It is very quiet there, but there's not your typical librarian telling you to shush all the time. The ladies at the desk every time I go are super helpful. I love that they have a teen room where teens can go in and play games and stuff. I can't remember if it's soundproof but I think it is. Love that they have rooms that I believe you can rent? I'm not exactly sure since I've never done it. But often times I see people in there doing different programs. There is also a program on the 3rd floor called Perfect Ten that is girls only and they are absolutely amazing! Love...

This is an all around fantastic library, from the awesome, historical and whimsical armoury building, wide and colorful selection of books (inclusive kids books were a great find at today's visit) and great amenities (I haven't even explored them all). Add that to a slew of events and activities and kind staff and you have an A+ library!! The little kids corner is amazing and such a blessing when you have a toddler handful!! I've also included a photo of the bathroom--it's accessible AND has a changing table!!! (When you have a little one you KNOW how precious that amenity is) Worth a visit...

HAL is my favorite library EVER! It's the coolest environment for a library (old armory building repurposed very effectively), and I really appreciate that they introduced a ton of learning and creative spaces, focusing on the people who use the library rather than just making space for a ton of old books.
