Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in City of Ithaca

Where do we start? Walking in, there was a wait of 25 mins which shouldn't have been a thing because there were many open tables. The real reason? You had 4 hosts/waitresses on their phones the entire time we were standing and waiting. When finally sat, Theresa warned us the kitchen was backed up. She was nice but was definitely flustered by the happenings of the evening and it showed. She did try but we saw periods of a not so great attitude. Our appetizer took 20-25 minutes and the mozzarella sticks were cold. Why didn't we say something there? Cause we could tell the atmosphere was not good and were hungry so we took it as a sign to just get our food and get out as quickly as possible. Our food was mediocre at best. The young man who corrected a mistake by Theresa, was quick, attentive and was the best part of the night. He should be considered for a management position because he corrected the mistakes and even said himself "the kitchen needs to do better." This place needs a serious overhaul behind the scenes. We didn't see a manager walking around checking on tables, we barely saw our waitress, and there was some seriously inebriated guys at the bar right behind us that almost stumbled right into my fiancée. Amazing service, great food, Wonderful vibes! Definitely would come back! We ordered the 3 for me, the triple dipper, and the Alex Santa Fe which were all super cheap in comparison to what you were actually getting. The 3 for me came with a choice of soup, chips or salad for the first part. We chose the chips and they were so big! The salsa was a little watery, but very good. The 3 for me also came with drink, and a whole meal from 10.99 to 16.99. You really get a bang for your buck at chili's!! The pink lemonade wasn't the best, but it was still very good and we were even given a refil! I thought it was amazing that you could get refills on all sodas, and that really goes to show how great the deals are here. I got a cup of hot water for free, since I brought my own coffee in my bag, and they were even nice enough to bring me some sugar! Everyone here was so nice, coming to check on us from time to time and making sure we were having fun. The cheese pull on the mozzarella sticks so was great, and not only was it amazingly seasoned but so were the fries. The molten lava cake was soo good as well! The ice cream paired so great with the softness of the cake, it was like a reward for my taste buds. My friends and I decided to come here for a nice evening out. Well, it turned out to be anything but that. When we put in our orders I made the waitress aware that I am severely allergic to pineapple so my margarita could not go anywhere near pineapple what so ever. Our drinks came out on the same tray. One of the others at the table ordered a drink with pineapple. There was pineapple as a garnish on the side of the drink which ended up touching my glass. I asked the manager (who brought our drinks over) if she was sure that the cups didn't touch. I then got attitude because we asked for another drink. Not even a minute later the exact same drink came over but it looked completely different and the cup was completely full of ice. The lady was again very rude in her fake customer service voice. We asked a nearby waiter to have a manager come over. Well the same lady (Jessica) came over once again. She asked if everything was okay and ended up taking the drink without offering me anything else to drink. I have never felt so awful for having a good allergy. I would've been one thing if the drink was just replaced with no issue but Jessica got a major attitude for the rest of the time that we were all eating trying to enjoy our dinner the manger would sneak dirty looks when she thought we weren't looking!...
