It is so rare to find a perfect Eggs Benedict. I've been disappointed in so many places from down to upstate. When the waitress asked how our food was while I was eating it, my eyes rolled back and that pretty much said enough. The French Toast was great but they went way too heavy on the glaze. We scooped it off and tried it, enjoying the taste when the sugar wasn't overpowering it anymore. The Corned Beef Hash was fantastic, Homefries are so seasoned and we LOVED that. Most places underseason Homefries. The Fried Green Tomatoes are PERFECT. The batter is crispy and flavorful, the dip is great, and the tomatoes are wonderfully tender. My friend had an omelet and loved it as well. She said it was the best she's ever had. The coffee is the best I've had at a breakfast place. I loved our waitress. She was so attentive, friendly, and on-point. Every table is set far enough apart, every table and chair is wiped down between customers, and the establishment is spotless. This made us feel safer with dining indoors. We will...

The Ugly Rooster catered our wedding 09/18/2021 and knocked it out of the park! We got married on the lawn at our family's farmhouse near Schaghticoke, which wasn't without its logistical challenges, but Mary (for planning and prep ) and Ariel and his team were ready to handle anything. They brought everything they needed to prepare our phenomenal meals on site, and staff were friendly, attentive, and willing to lend a hand throughout. When a torrential downpour hit just as dinner was about to be served, and gusting winds were threatening to blow our tent walls away, the URC somehow kept everything warm and even crispy until the worst of the weather had passed and everyone could eat comfortably. They never missed a beat and I can't say enough how grateful I am to have worked with them!

I chose the URC for the wedding because I love their food in the Mechanicville cafe, at Easter brunch, and now in Malta. They have a GREAT and extensive catering menu, and their pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommend for any local...

Everything about the place was nice to the eye, they even had a cute little store in the back that had awesome stuff in it For tourist shopping, Say the people were really nice, Service was fast and quick. It was not too loud in the restaurant and it was very spacious. But the food was less than desirable. It was extremely soggy, wet and moist. The hashbrowns I ordered were soggy and wet like they had sat on a frying pan stuffed into a pot and heavily seasoned make them more flavorful, however They were soggy and had no crisp. The eggs were soggy and wet, and not fully cooked the bread had way too much butter on just a slice of toast. It was completely saturated and the tea was stale even though it was a regular bag of Lipton. It definitely was not fresh. They gave me no saucer to put the teabag on, so it didn’t steep for too long, and the only sugar they had was sugar in the raw which left no...

I met someone nearby for an errand and decided to try this restaurant. I gave my order when the server usually asks for your drink order. My food came after some time, and I only saw the server again when she put my bill on the table. I ordered two eggs over easy, rye toast, and asked for fried onions in my home fries. The eggs were over medium and browned, I got marbled rye/pumpernickel, and I had an excess of fried onions covering the charred home fries. I was never approached to ask how my food was nor offered a refill of my only cup of coffee. I brought my check to the register at the end of the establishment, inside their store. When asked how my meal was, I told the cashier. She immediately told me to hold on while she got the manager. She gave me an employee discount. I explained I wasn't looking for a discount. This store has a sister store in Malta that I enjoy going to.

High recommend. Saw it online looking for breakfast spots, decided to drive a bit further than I normally would have but figured for a 4.7 I'd give it a chance. I assumed it was just standard diner fare the locals love, hence the rating, but it was totally deserved! I got 2 eggs over corned beef hash which is one of my favorite breakfast meals and it was maybe the best I'd ever had. You could tell it was homemade and not over processed/worked, with big chunks of pulled corned beef. The bread they served was also amazing. It had to be fresh baked. Thick slices of rye that were soft and delicious. Can't recommend enough. Your usual American breakfast offerings, but anything but usual or typical!
