Best — Restaurant in City of Mount Vernon

Something as simple as wonton soup. It was super thick wonton paper used to make this wonton. The meat filling was the smallest amount as if they refused to use any meat at all and the roast pork strips were flavorless and, the soup in total had no care in the Chinese art of making roast pork or the tender wonton that complimented the soup.

When a restaurant takes very little care into what it serves the community. How can I trust it or believe in anything that they make when even the smallest item on the menu, lacks the attention it deserves?

The West Indian Community in Mount Vernon spends a considerable amount of money and effort to go to this restaurant. I love Chinese food and the culture and as a chef, I cook Chinese food and study culture. So I have a high appreciation but I also respect what I put in my body, and this restaurant does not.

Until they serve this with Community quality food!!

I’ve bought food from here a few times and each time the taste and quality of the food has been declining. But tonight for me this was the last straw and I will NEVER be ordering from them again: I have noticed that they don’t take any Covid precautions as far as wearing gloves or even hair nets while cooking or preparing the food to go. I am going to try and upload a picture of my food that I bought tonight for my family, in the middle of the food my husband found a fine piece of straight brown hair in the house special fried rice. Best Chinese food in Mt. Vernon. The lady can be a little loud, but that's only during the busy hours. If you come during the dinner rush, you'll see how busy this place is and I don't blame her for trying to rush sometimes. I've talked to her when it's not so busy and she can actually be very nice. What really counts is that the food is amazing. That is why they've been around for over 15 years and still super busy.
