Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in City of New Rochelle

We arrived and were told there wold be a 15 minute wait for a party of 4. There were four empty booths within immediate view of the waiting area with only one table that need to be cleared. While waiting over 15 minutes, several other large parties left and an additional 2 or 3 booths were now empty. All this time, the line of other people waiting behind us continued to grow. I asked the hostesses about all the empty booths and was told that they seat by sections and they don't care if booths are empty. I told her that this was the stupidest thing I ever heard. 20 people waiting and enough empty tables to seat everyone. Which moron MBA came up with this business model?

After another ten minutes waiting, I asked the hostess how many groups were ahead of us. She replied "One group of 4" and showed me her list. Five minutes later, she began calling out names and my daughter recognized her seating two groups of four that arrived after us. When we confronted her, she claimed that she called our name and we didn't answer. We had been sitting a few feet from the hostess station the entire time! We asked for the manager who was equally useless. When we told her what happened, she replied "Well, she says she called you". We asked to be seated immediately and were told it would be a 15 minute wait because we lost our place in line. We told the manager we were going to leave and the hostess turned and called out 'Y'all have a good evening now" with a smirk on her face. Ghetto with attitude.

Don't patronize this restaurant. They would have no business if it weren't for Regal Cinema 200 feet away.

Zero stars. I got FOOD POISONING and an attitude from this place. Last Sunday afternoon I decided to go for lunch at this establishment and the place seemed empty which is unusual for the weekend. I ordered some chicken sandwich from their menu which had a funny taste but thought maybe it was just the not so good sauce so I proceeded to eat it, I was starving since I didn't have anything to eat up until then. I finished, payed the bill and went home, about an hour later I started to feel extremely ill and had to run to the hospital and the doctor diagnosed me with FOOD POISONING. The next day I had to miss a day of work. I called Applebee's and requested to speak to the manager and this woman with an attitude said NO. Then she transferred me to another RUDE woman who claimed to be the manager (just so everyone knows: be aware the manager is a male not this lady who didn't even want to give me her name). I wanted to let them know what happened to me and to be more careful next time because obviously the quality of their food is not acceptable. This could be potentially dangerous especially for kids or the elderly. This woman was beyond rude, she claimed their chef was one of the best and didn't take my words into consideration or listened to anything I said to her, NEVER asked me what I ordered or anything related to my complaint, NEVER APOLOGIZED and she ended up hanging up the phone on my face. Do not go there because not only their food might be spoiled but their attitudes are even worse. I also wasted money on the food, doctor and missed a day of work....

Let me start this review by saying Diego!!was such a great server for me and my family today very assertive, the customer service was immaculent, very friendly and he laughed at my jokes lol definitely glad I got him as my server today! He handled our needs with perfect precision. I definitely appreciate you. I would come back because of you.Thank you, Diego keep up the great job, five star for him and his service... Now for the food...chef!!!!you're definitely the chef lol My chicken wings cooked to perfection my onion rings were perfectly battered like onions ring should be i was truly happy with my meal. Now chef as for my queen and princess. My wife loved the platter, you know what i'm talking about ? Lol The one with the mozzarella sticks and the boneless chicken and spinach artichoke dip and chicken quesadilla man.She couldn't keep her eyes off the plate half of the time I was wondering if she was even looking at me lol great job chef. And as for my lil princess she's very picky and you have made her the most delicious fried chicken sandwich that she had that's all she kept saying to me lol and her mozzarella sticks and our mozzarella sticks was delicious 😋 absolutely appreciate the service Diego, the atmosphere, the chef, the cleansiness of the tables and around the area and wonderful choice of music!! i will come back for more... I'm a food reviewer they call me joker and I give this place a 5 star happily!!! Wonderful job Guys can't wait to review more...
