Bagel Zone — Restaurant in City of New Rochelle

If there was a no star option that’s definitely what I would of chose. I used to love this place and have been coming here for years on and off. Eversince the older woman left things have changed. We all know the cost of food has increased so that was expected but the communication with the staff is terrible and can cause you to be overcharged and then rudely answered when you ask about the price of something. The girl who took my order put in whatever she thought I wanted without confirming it with me. The cashier charged me for something I didn’t order. The girl came over to argue that that’s what I ordered instead of professionally trying to figure out the miscommunication. I paid for it already and the cashier offered to give me some type of refund. I declined and said keep it but will never go back here again. HORRIBLE...

On MOTHER’s Days I ordered $32 worth of food on Uber Eats only to get a phone call from this place because I placed in the order comments I wanted Lox and scallion cream cheese because that wasn’t listed on the Uber eats app (but I bought it before so I know they have this cream cheese). This woman at the store called me and told me to cancel my whole order because she would “lose money” sending this bagel to me. Mind you I choose bagel and lox the most expensive bagel option to make up for the cost. Anyone greed for 50 cents extra and wants you to cancel your order knowing Uber eats will STILL charge you 95% of the bill needs NO business from you. This used to be the best spot for bagels ! Since the pandemic they got very expensive and lately the ingredients just do not taste the same the bagels are definitely frozen and the eggs and ham taste very strange. The owner is very nice but some of the ladies cater to certain customers I’ve noticed they will take people that were after you and ignore you.
