La Clave — Restaurant in City of New Rochelle

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I went to this place looking to have a good time with my girl friends. The security guard looked at our IDs pretty thoroughly since we look pretty young, though we are in the 24-27 age range. We get it. We go in and order our drinks, which were extremely expensive for what they were btw, and order a 6 inch club sandwich ($13 dollars for this, yes. You can get a better one at the deli for $5 or less). Before we get all of our drinks and food, the waitress comes to charge us. We thought this was odd since bars usually just open a tab for the table, but she claimed that’s how they do their business. We, mistakenly, paid. 5 minutes later we get approached by a Cop ( lol I still can’t believe this happened) and the manager/owner not sure who he was. They come and harass us for our IDs even though we kept reassuring them they had been checked by both the security guard and waitress. The manager didn’t believe us even after we showed them our IDs! so they made sure to take our $$ (before we even consume anything), knowing they had called the cops on us in case we got kicked out. Like serious question, How do you do business? Lol

Yo nunca he dejado un review a nadie pero esta situación lo amerita. Esta ha sido una de las peores experiencias que he tenido en un club, si se pudiera dar un cero más que encantada se lo diera. Fui con mis amigas tratando de pasar un buen rato, nos chequearon el ID en la entrada con mucha atención (por que tenemos apariencia de ser menores de edad, cosa que yo entiendo). Entramos al lugar, para empezar el lugar tenía un olor como a pintura demasiado fuerte pero tratamos de no prestarle atención. Ordenamos algunas bebidas y un sándwich (que por cierto las bebidas eran mad jugo/hielo que cualquier otra cosa). Amablemente le pedí a la mesera si podía hacer mi bebida un poco más cargada, cuando regreso con mi bebida, me pidió que le hiciéramos el pago de lo que habíamos ordenado (y aún no habíamos recibido la orden completa), hicimos el pago y no mucho después llego un policía con el dueño o manager del lugar pidiendo nuestras identificaciones otra vez. Fueron muy cautelosos al volver a chequear los IDS especialmente el mío, me lo pidieron dos veces (por que según ellos yo era la que más joven aparentaba). Después de ese momento incómodo decidimos retirarnos del lugar por que nos sentíamos incómodas. Hoy en la mañana una de mis amigas se encuentra con la sorpresa y la falta de profesionalismo de este lugar, mandándole un mensaje por Instagram acusándonos de ser “haters”. Es increíble que después del mal rato que nos hicieron pasar tengan el tiempo y audacia de buscar a alguien por ig y hacer este tipo de comentario.

Para no seguir haciendo este comentario más largo de lo que ya es, lean los otros reviews de otras personas y como les contestan. La falta de profesionalismo es obviamente notable. Y adición ellos aseguran que la persona que se acercó no fue un policía, que era un trabajador de ellos. Pero yo no recuerdo haber visto ningún guardaespaldas con placas y pistola dentro de una discoteca. Espero que esto les sirva y aprendan a tener mejor...

Worse place for regular people, if you’re not these people’s friends or family or even speak Spanish it’s over for you. First of all, the drinks are $12 each. NEVER AGAIN. Don’t waste your time
