El Michoacano — Restaurant in City of New Rochelle

Let me start off by saying the food is really good very delicious. I’ve been coming here with my husband for almost a year now the waiters have always been very lovely and nice. The reason I am giving 3 stars today is because of the poor customer service i received today- I placed an order on the phone for pick up and the lady seemed to be in a rush to get off the phone which is understandable because she has to continue serving her tables but once I got to the restaurant I entered and went to the counter to pick up my order said “hi” to what looked to be a new waiter because I had not seen her before I received no answer was not at all acknowledged once she got because greeted me with “dime” not at all a way to treat a customer. I told her what I was there for and just said oh it $__ handed her the money and she didn’t even hand me my food. Once seated we were given nachos with beans and cheese which we're good. They also provided jalapeños and carrots in vinegar (chiles en vinagre) lets just say it seems like they reuse them. Clearly someone took a bite of one jalapeño and put it back. Maybe because they were not even spicy matter a fact they tasted sweet. I ordered fajitas Fiesta mixed with beef, chicken and shrimp. I only got 3 shrimps which isn't much. The dish did not look pleasing at all the side rice and beans were cold. Rice was undercooked and hard. My partner ordered 3 beef tacos which it seemed like they literally poured a whole bottle of red sauce on them making the tacos cold aside from the tacos being super soggy and falling apart. Also I never experienced having 2 waitresses for one single table...

Not sure how to give an adecuate review. But unfortuantely this was my second visit due to a previous positive rating. The issue regarding my most recent visit was that i ordered a drink and it came with an insect as it arrived to my table.

Immediately brought the issue about it and the reason for my score was partially the handling of this issue. Believe they handled it well but an insect arriving on your food can cause disease. So I appreciate their handling but did inform of a further inspection may need to be done to ensure its running in a sanitory way.
