Went here on the evening of July 27th. Dined outdoors. The waitress took our order and brought drinks first, she dumps a glass full of ice with some water and it wets one person I was with, she apologized and we laughed it off (mistakes happen right???!!!). We all order our food comes out late but it looks good, I ordered the seafood fest, as I’m eating my ceviche I noticed there’s a balled up aluminum foil. This made me lose my appetite completely, the rest of the plate was still untouched. I showed the waitress and she seemed like it was nothing, she asked me in Spanish if I wanted something else and I told her no because I lost my appetite; she removed my plate. When she comes to remove the rest of the plates and cups (my water was untouched since it looked cloudy I wouldn’t drink it), she places another cup inside the full cup of water and wets me...everyone around the table stared because instead of apologizing she laughed and never apologized. I’m a nice person therefore I didn’t say anything when I did say something was about the check this restaurant had the audacity to still charge me for the food that I did not eat, when I mentioned it to her she comes back with $10 dollars off the $33 dollar meal that again I DID NOT EAT; we paid tipped $8 dollars and left. But this is my real tip dont waste your time eating here poor customer service and lack of tact with guest. Completely unacceptable and the craziest thing was the restaurant wasn’t even busy for this to happen...it was a Monday night. Horrible experience and I would not visit again not even...
Read moreMY ORDER POLLO SALTADO WITH FRIED EGG AND EXTRA CHICKEN BEVERAGE GINGER ALE (changed it to Sprite in a can)
It was a very large dining area and there were customers (one family) and a couple. Plus a few friends at the bar. Wasn't fully busy though. Close to empty.
I sat solo with my own table. The waitress and staff nearby immediately greeted me. I arrived there around 8 after. Throughout the whole day I was craving Saltado for months. I've been to my usual spots multiple times yet I was craving for something new. After the New Rochelle Jazz Festival; I roamed the streets of "New Ro" seeking any signs for apartment for rent... "the undercover listings". The listings that never are found online. Overall I passed by a million and 1 HIGH RISE LUXURY APARTMENTS (that are ultra expensive and probably still have my name on their imaginary waiting list for affordable housing units) anyways
I came across Olibar while food hunting and I ordered the Pollo Saltado with a single fried egg (extra fee) (friend perfectly and gooey), I substituted white rice for their yellow rice (extra fee) but tasted good, and then I added extra pollo are individually seasoned and fully cooked. I have no complaints other than changing my beverage order from the fountain ginger ale to a canned sprite. The waitress was friendly and nice, the bathroom was clean. The vibe was alright and peaceful. My experience was good.

Read moreThis was our first time coming here & went for the brunch buffet & unlimited mimosas. The restaurant is cute, the employees seemed nice. The buffet food was okay, nothing to rave over. I did go to the chef that was making omelets & pancakes from scratch & asked for pancakes & he told me he was going to bring me the pancakes to my table but he never did. At that point I was full so I didn’t bother asking for it. The refills of the mimosas were also slow. But the main reason why I’m giving this place 2 stars is bc the price is very misleading. Before coming here, I checked their website & it said brunch was $24.95. Went we sat down, they gave us iPads as their menu & the brunch price was $21.95 so I was even more excited. We get the bill at the end & they charged us $27.95 per person. I told the server the different prices that I saw & said it wasn’t fair that they were advertising different prices and then charging more. Her excuse was that they haven’t updated the prices & the price on their register was $27 so that’s the price. Well how is that my fault? That’s absolutely absurd. It’s false advertising & bad business. I’ll never go back & I’ll be telling friends & families about this...
