We’ve been here for both a dinner and a party in their side room. Both experiences were horrible. Terrible food, terrible service, filthy floors and serving wares all contributed to complete nightmares both times in different ways. I want to fully explain everything to properly warn any potential customers.
The restaurant looks good, we liked the red bricks and cozy Italian old styled feel to it. That’s where the positives end though. The floors had dirt and crumbs everywhere. The tablecloth had stains on it. One of our glasses hadn’t been fully cleaned and food particles were on one of our forks. They obviously don’t focus on cleanliness or making sure tables are set using clean and sanitary utensils and settings.
The dinner we had to try out the restaurant and wanted to sample their Italian food. We tried the burrata and it was ok but the tomatoes weren’t fresh and the cheese maybe spoiled a little bit or for whatever reason had a strange aftertaste. The calamari was like pure rubber and anyone who eats it often knows that’s a sure sign that they don’t know what they’re doing (we discovered after that the food is mostly cooked by underpaid inexperienced workers which explains a lot). The pasta was the usual you’d expect from a place of this type but it was a little soft not al dente, probably sat out too long getting heated. It was also just something out of a box you can make at home not fresh. The steak they served was one of the worst pieces of meat I’ve ever had at a restaurant. It was cooked unevenly and not seasoned right. Part was raw inside but should’ve been medium well. The meat itself was rough to chew and obviously was a low grade low priced cut of meat. The chicken scarpariello was so dry and tasteless it maybe had a shot of being good if not dried out but they failed miserably. The sauce tasted funny and not how it should’ve been. The servers were just some young guys who barely knew what they were doing. They couldn’t answer our questions about anything and seemed way too relaxed. They disappeared at times and came late with the food and drinks a few times too. Their wine list was also really low quality and very short.
We never wanted to come back after the terrible dinner we ate. But we got invited to a party another time so we attended a birthday at their private room. That was even worse than the dinner. Someone named David ran everything and he did a horrible job if you even want to call it doing work because he seemed to do very little. Everything was in disarray. The food was put out in trays way too early and was obviously soft and soggy. We suspect some of what was served was maybe reused from the night before too, from how it looked and tasted. The servers were messing around and not paying attention most of the time. Nothing was brought on time and nothing was fresh or tasted good except for the flatbreads they served which were fresh and actually tasted good. Several guests complained about the lack of service and bad food too. They didn’t even put a real bartender in, instead it was some guy who barely knew what he was doing. It’s like they don’t care about anything here just want to get things done no matter what the quality of the food or service ends up being. Last time when we ate dinner we found the place to be dirty mostly on the floor but the table setting wasn’t clean either. This time the settings were better cleaned but we saw a bunch of dirt and crumbs on the floor everywhere. Even worse we saw a few bugs too. We understand it’s a restaurant and a lot of people in and out but they need to clean up and make sure everything is sanitary. This was inexcusable. They basically did everything wrong that could possibly be done wrong. And from what we’ve been told David who was in charge of everything just didn’t even care and was absent most of the time anyway, texting on his phone or taking breaks. No one we know of liked any food here or has ever had a good party here. If you know Italian food then you’ll know this is not good quality and not a...
Read moreUpdate: The business followed up with an apology, and I truly appreciate that. They sent flowers, a letter and a gift card, which was a thoughtful gesture. I was also told that steps are being taken to make sure situations like this are handled better moving forward. The food here is great!! and I believe it’s important that all staff understand they represent the entire restaurant even when not directly serving customers. I appreciate the follow-up and hope this is the end of the situation.
All I wanted was pizza. Instead, I got cursed out and berated at my own front door. Let me tell you about it.
I’ve ordered from Post 22 several times with no issues. The food is usually solid, and I’ve never had a reason to complain, until now.
As someone who worked in the service industry for years (and literally paid for school with tips), I respect tipping. I always tip, after the delivery is complete. That’s just my personal policy, especially since I’ve had food delivered to the wrong address before.
On this particular day, I was in the middle of a work call when my food arrived. My delivery instructions clearly said to leave it at the door. I managed to quickly say “just leave it,” assuming that was that.
But later, I watched my building’s security footage and was honestly shocked. The driver was caught on three different cameras cursing me out, ranting about tips, and using profanity loudly all the way from my door to the elevator. It’s summer. Kids are home. This was not okay.
I called the restaurant, and David, who said he was the manager, answered. He apologized and offered me a gift card. I declined. I won’t be ordering from here again. He said the driver “would no longer be working there,” but also told me he had no idea tips could be added after delivery (which is clearly an option on the app).
I’ve blurred the driver’s face and removed all personal info from the receipt in the screenshots I’m sharing. But I wanted to share my personal experience here.
This wasn’t just unprofessional it was aggressive and completely unnecessary. If I see this man in my building again, I will be filing a...
Read moreI truly don’t know where to begin! I’ve been coming to Posto since 2020 with my boyfriend, and it has become our absolute favorite Italian restaurant. Everything about this place is exceptional—the warm atmosphere, the delicious food, and the fantastic drinks—but what truly sets it apart is the incredible staff. I cannot say enough about Simon, Brian, and Alvaro. They are beyond amazing! They have been serving us for years and always go above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their hospitality is unmatched, and they treat us like royalty every single time we visit.
The service is truly top-notch, making every dining experience feel special. And the food? Absolutely phenomenal! Every dish is crafted with care, bursting with authentic Italian flavors, and always cooked to perfection. From the appetizers to the desserts, you can taste the quality and passion in every bite. The drinks are just as incredible—always well-crafted and perfectly balanced.
Recently, we went there for Valentine's Day, which I believe was our third Valentine’s dinner at Posto. They always make the occasion so special with exclusive Valentine’s Day specials for both food and drinks, and they even give you a rose! It’s those thoughtful touches that make this place stand out. This year, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and personally thanking him for running such an outstanding restaurant.
Another great perk is their valet service, which makes parking effortless and adds to the overall convenience of dining here. It’s just another example of the thoughtful experience they provide for their guests.
Posto isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience. Whether you're looking for a romantic date night, a special celebration, or just an amazing meal, this place will never disappoint. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves outstanding Italian cuisine paired with impeccable service. 10/10—if you want top-notch service in every aspect, this is the...
