La Cabana Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Peekskill

Racist towards anyone that doesn't speak Spanish and inconsiderate, ordered 20 mins before pick up and they left my food on the floor and didn't tell me it was ready while helping everyone else after me who did speak Spanish. Didn't wanna bother them but eventually I asked again if my food is ready and they said yes and picked it up off the floor and when I asked "was my food there the whole time on the floor" they laughed and said yes. It was cold, I got my refund from doordash, and will never be supporting these people again. Garbage people, garbage food.

MAY 2025: decided to try it again, and good portions but again, being the only non Spanish looking person in there, 2 Spanish speaking patrons that came in after me were helped, I had to step up and tell her I was here before these people just to pick up, to which I told her my name she handed me my food no eye contact no words just onto the next person. Once again, don't come here unless you are fully Hispanic!...

Let me preface this bad review by saying the food itself is delicious and is one of the things I miss. However we used to order here quite a lot though delivery and all was well. The one time I went to pick up my food in person I was made to wait about 10-15 minutes. No one was in front of me, as soon as another Spanish speaking customer/regular would come in they took their order before my own. This happened about 4 before I rose my voice and asked for my food. Which was ready and getting cold. I could tell I was getting the outsider look from the woman that worked there and they had no intention of helping or taking my order. Honestly I would've left had I not already paid, because clearly they did not want any part of my business when they saw me. No problem though when it's getting delivered. I don’t understand how it takes over a hour to get food delivered to me less than 6 minutes away. I had to go thru two Uber delivery ppl and I had priority delivery but they had to wait so long for this order to be prepared. Then I get the food and it tastes gross. Also I wasn’t expecting when I ordered tostones with cheese for the cheese to be like this.

To the response from the restaurant, ok so you didn’t realize you had my order for a bit. That’s all you had to say. Also it doesn’t say anything about it being an Ecuadorian restaurant on Uber eats and says Puerto Rican on google. Maybe you should update that, if you can on here and Uber because I had no idea.
