China Wok — Restaurant in City of Peekskill

I am in this area for work and was craving house fried rice, so I purchase a large. The young lady who answered the phone was nice and she gave me good direction on how to get there to the store. The store is located in a strip mall in the corner. Some questionable people were walking around, but they respected my space. Once inside, my order was ready and I asked if they put egg in their fried rice I was told no ( I like the egg in it). It was my fault for not asking when I ordered, that’s on me. The first and second spoonful of rice, I knew I was not going to like it. The rice was hard, like it been sitting out for a while mixed in with somewhat fresher rice. The shrimp was over cooked, I tossed it. This was so upsetting and I did not have time to take it back or call them. I’m confused about the other review stating that the food was good or the best when they mixed old sitting out rice with new rice and sold it like that. I recently ordered food for pick up for the first time and the food was great. I had ordered a pepsi bottle and it wasn't given to me after I had left so I called and asked if I could be given the credit and the gentlemen said yes I just had to give my phone number. Today I called and ordered and the guy said there was no record of me having that credit and he would not give it to me and he told me I am a liar. I cannot believe that they would have this type of customer service. I would have ordered without a problem because who would argue over a bottle of pepsi. Great food. There is a delivery driver who leaves your food at the door and tells you he’s busy and can’t wait to be buzzed up. This is fine for me but my elderly mother in law who is looking after our kids can not make the trip down there. Leaving someone’s food at the door is unacceptable. We attempted to order yesterday as well and it seems the delivery guy answered the phone and told my wife he’s not coming upstairs and he will be leaving the food at the door again.
