Summer update! They now have cold brew coffee, which is smooth and delicious. A perfect summer drink! Update: The almond croissant is heaven and enjoying their cream earl grey tea. In the last month I had their mocha latte (amazing!) and their lemon tart. Their sandwiches on the weekends are delicious as well. On the one hand I don’t want college students in the area to discover this wonderful place but then again I want them to thrive and stay in the neighborhood. Enjoying the quiet right now this Sunday mid morning. I found my new place for coffee and pastry! I’ve been wanting to come here since their opening and finally did so today. First, the space is so beautiful, warm and cozy. The owner has an incredible eye for design and for comfort. There’s plenty of seating and the view out of the window is remarkable being right across from the Hudson River and you can see the walkway. I ordered hot chocolate which was beautifully presented and tasted rich and creamy with a touch of cinnamon. The temperature was just right so I can drink it right away without scalding my tongue. The raspberry croissant was a nice accompaniment to the hot chocolate. It was filled with raspberry and cream cheese. Yum! Last but not least is being greeted with such warmth by the owner who brought me my order, as I sat on the comfy couch looking out the river. I look forward to visiting often! Note: When driving to the cafe, go to the end of the road at the river then take a right. It’s on the bottom floor of an apartment building and the door opens to the outside. There’s parking on the side. I hear that improved signage and parking are on the docket by the...

But after going there and having the fortune to meet Gigi and Dade, sitting and enjoying an amazing hot chocolate) one of the best ones that I've ever had) not too thick not too watery just right with an amazing little touch of a few bits of dark chocolate on top as in the picture, and actually sitting in an open airy space where you could have a conversation without loud music blaring and others yelling; while enjoying a superfluous view from their windows I too shall give thy place 5 stars!!! Well lit, cozy space, warming, inviting etc etc can't say enough about this little cozy nook. Loved it and will plan to stop whenever I can to enjoy it all over...
Read moreIt was one of those calm Hudson Valley mornings when sunlight quietly spills through the window, and the air smells of roasted coffee beans and buttery pastries. At Anna & Pierre Café, I ordered a Spicy Red Pepper Shiitake Danish—a small piece of art resting on a white plate.
The layers were crisp and flaky, crowned with black and white sesame seeds and fresh green scallions. The flavor was rich yet balanced: savory, slightly spicy, with a faint sweetness at the end. Paired with a smooth latte, it felt like the kind of breakfast that turns an ordinary day into a quiet celebration.
Sometimes happiness is as simple as a good Spicy Red Pepper Shiitake Danish and a warm...
