The River Cafe — Restaurant in City of Poughkeepsie

I give this place an overall 8.5!!! The vibe is good, service was decent. Although i was surprised by some of their food choices, I enjoyed what I had. My food was seasoned to perfection 🤩.

My takeaways are to step up their game on the desserts, they only had cupcakes and to be listed as an upscale buffet, the desserts should be top tier. The bar and lounge is a grown atmosphere but was a lil disappointed in not being fully stocked. i did have a lemon drop and it was guuddd, bartender did her thang. Didn’t try the pizza yet, but soon.

I’m sure once all the kinks are straightened out, this place is going to be a great place to go especially as we go into the warmer...

I take the train everyday to work. Went in for pizza but realized it's the same restaurant as Indulge. Before that it was a different name. I was there when they had a buffet and probably prefer that more. Not sure why the name keeps changing but to me that's not a good sign. Pizza is still okay, nice environment and nice location because it's near the train station, waterfront, and other small ethnic spots to eat at. You have Jamaican and Dominican right up the street and Actually there's an authentic pizza spot up the street, short walk. Hopefully this time restaurant lasts so it can become a strong establishment...

Went for the music and drinks, the place is definitely beautiful and great music and atmosphere. The drinks where overpriced for poor quality and served in really small amounts. My wife ask for a margarita it was served in a martini glass and not even half a glass, i ordered an IPA and it was completely flat not one bubble on sight. The food was good but the cashier attitude was one of a person that would rather be somewhere else. I give this place a 2.5 cause of food and a beautiful place i give a 0 for the drinks...
