Mark's Texas Hots — Restaurant in City of Rochester

Okay, so first let me say that I don't believe the extremely nice owner has any idea about how terrible his front staff is. This a long one, Buckle in: 😬🫡 I'm assuming her name is Bonnie. And she is the utmost most despicable person to be dealing with customer service. I have ordered from here numerous times - the food being mediocre but worthwhile - and every single time this woman has been involved, the food is 1.) EXTREMELY LATER THAN IM TOLD and 2.) I'm given a hard time about my regular order and 3.) I leave so upset bc of how disrespected I feel!? 😡 One time, she literally hung up on me when I asked her for her name (whilst ordering my food) and I was being completely nice and sincere in the fact that I wanted to speak with the owner about UberEats issues (since she was saying that I wasn't allowed to do something that he has told me is completely acceptable). After this terrible interaction which ended up resolving into a 40 minute wait time for a simple 10 minute order, I did not order from my name anymore bc I was scared about what she might do to the food. Next, my fiance ordered us food late one night, and she was told "15 minutes". When we got there, my fiance stated her name and Bonnie acted like her food wasn't ready and completely dismissed her, meanwhile there was food bagged up on the counter (that i felt like was mine the entire time). As customers came and left, we sat there for nearly 25 minutes without getting even a sideways glance from both her and the other woman at the front desk. She literally would serve someone and turn her back right back to my fiance. As I'm watching from my vehicle, I noticed a man staring at my fiance and then looking at me in the vehicle and I could see he was wondering why we were lingering around. FINALLY, he asked my fiance if she needed help. And you wouldn't believe what this -BONNIE - DID!? She jumped right over to the food that was sitting on the counter for 25 minutes and pulled the shakes out of the freezer and said "ooh, it's right here!" CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!? Needless to say, our food was cold 🥶, the fries were soggy from condensation from sitting in the bag sweltering for so long, but hey the shakes were ice cold too. I've been meaning to contact the owner to thank the gentleman who asked about us, but I'm just so livid that someone could treat us that way after we spend so much money there and NEVER GIVE ANY ISSUES WHATSOEVER bc we understand that they are the only open place that late at night so they are busy and done times irritated, but this was the last straw. I'm done with THAT PLACE and ONLY because of the nasty front service...

Upon visiting a neighbor battling cancer, we decided to search for steak subs that he wanted. ONLY to discover that the restaurant we normally frequent is closed on Sundays. I found this restaurant (Mark's Hots) on GOOGLE UNDER: "BEST STEAK SUBS IN TOWN." When I placed my order in person for a MEDIUM steak (based on favorable reviews) with woman, she stated: "we only offer 1 size, those reviews are very old." I agreed to place order anyways and she insisted that I "pay ahead of time" which I also agreed to in CASH. The total came to $23+ change INCL .95 CHARGED EXTRA FOR merely a COUPLE of MUSHROOMS per sandwich! When I requested a receipt, the woman replied that she "could ONLY provide" a PIECE OF PAPER with TOTAL amount that SHE WROTE. Shortly thereafter, I happened to notice the GUY SERVING as COOK had NO GLOVES or HAIR NET ON. AND HE WAS ALSO EATING WHILE PREPARING OUR ORDERS. HOW TACKY. Also when I received orders, there was absolutely NO MAYO, NO LETTUCE, NO TOMATOES, ETC. So as result, I CAN ATTEST to the FACT that THEY definitely DON'T provide the BEST IN TOWN. Food was terrible. I ordered off the dinner menu. I got the golden brown fried chicken and got French bread as a side. As you can see in the picture, that was NOT fried chicken. It was grilled chicken that may have been thrown in the fryer. My girlfriend got the steak with a tossed salad as a side. We both got our food on the bread as a sandwich, even though the menu said nothing about it being a sandwich. They then forgot my gfs salad, so I had to ask about that. They brought it over and it’s literally just lettuce with 2 tomato slices on top. I ask where my side is (the French bread), and she says the bread on my chicken is the French bread. Yet my gfs steak was also in bread even though she didn’t ask for it, so she got the bread and a salad and I got just the bread. After I brought this up, the waitress did offer to give me another side free of charge, so I got the potato. Came as mashed potato’s with gravy with corn and a cut of steak with mushrooms. The mushrooms were clearly canned, as well as the corn. The steak had no seasoning, the mashed potatos were bland, and the gravy did not taste good. The milkshake was the best part of the meal.
