My sister had placed an order, but since she was at work, I went to pick it up for her. When I arrived, I noticed there was no parking available, so I had to park in a nearby lot and walk over. This was not ideal, as the area is quite sketchy and felt unsafe. When I entered the store, I was greeted by a staff member. I clearly stated, âHi, Iâm here to pick up an order for _ (my sisterâs name).â The employee went to the back and called out the name I had just given. Another worker came out with a box of desserts, showed them to me, and asked if everything looked okay. I saw what appeared to be the items my sister had ordered and responded, âYes, everything is alright.â I then decided to order a vanilla latte. Oddly, there were no size optionsâit came in a very small cup, definitely less than 8 oz, and cost $6. I still left a 20% tip out of courtesy, but I felt the drink was overpriced for the portion size. Before I even ordered the drink, the woman at the counter asked me, âDid you already pay?ââreferring to the pickup order. I understand wanting to confirm, but as a business, you should already have that information readily available. It created confusion and made the experience feel unorganized. After picking everything up, I made the 20-minute drive home. Not long after, my sister called to say the store had left her a voicemailâaccusatory and unprofessional. They claimed that she had picked up the wrong order at 11 a.m. (macarons) and didnât inform them that the box they gave her wasnât hers. This was incredibly frustrating because I had clearly stated her name at pickup, and the worker handed me the box directly from the backâthis was not a self-serve system like youâd find at Chipotle. We had never ordered from this shop before, so I had no idea what the macarons were supposed to look like. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, they implied we took the wrong order intentionally, which we would never do. To make matters worse, they asked my sister if she wanted to pay for the incorrect (and more expensive) order instead of what we initially ordered. Once I understood what had happened, I returned to the storeâless than an hour laterâwith the untouched, refrigerated box. Again, I had to park again in a nearby lot and walk over. When I walked in, I placed the wrong box on the counter. The worker grabbed it, said âWe canât use this,â and immediately threw it in the trash right in front of me. I understand there are health regulations, but it felt unnecessarily disrespectful to not even wait until I left. I get that theyâre a newer business, but courtesy and professionalism go a long way. This entire situation was extremely frustratingâwe were just trying to get something nice...
Read moreNO HUMANITY đĄđĄđĄ â that's what I can say today. Sending a 3-year-old child outside in WINTER, across the road, or telling them to go home if they need to use the restroom?
Today, my friends and I visited this place with our children to enjoy some desserts and take some home. We spent a decent amountâ$75. We are regular customers who have often come here and recommended this place to others. BUT I did not expect this.
Today, my friendâs 3-year-old daughter needed to use the restroom. I asked if they could let the child in. They told me they did not have a restroom. I then asked if there was a staff restroom and begged them because I knew she couldnât hold itâshe is only 3 years old and doesnât understand that "the ladies wonât let her in."
And what did they say?
The owner (who has a child herself and should have understood) and the cashier told me they couldnât allow it because there were cameras, it was forbidden, and the restroom was only for staff. They suggested we go across the street to McDonald's or go home. And then they simply hid behind the wall and didnât come out while we were getting dressed and leaving. đ¤Śââď¸
These are the same people who always smile and talk about kindness, about being good people, about how they help everyone, about their faith, etc.
Sorry, but this is unacceptable.
A place with tables, seating for guests, selling desserts, coffee, and teaâknowing that children and even pregnant women might visitâand yet you refuse to let a child use the restroom? That is low. It is very disappointing.
I understand that you canât do anything about the parking situation. But refusing to let a child use the restroom and sending them out into the cold? That is NOT OKAY.
The child wet herself as soon as we got into the car.
Please, before visiting this place, use the restroom at home and wash your hands beforehand because here, they will simply ask you to leave.
This was the last time I came here. Such people are rare, but unfortunately, they exist.
NOT RECOMMENDED.
And no, my review is not about the taste of the food, but about humanity, which should never be dismissed.
I donât know whatâs on the way to your restroom, but clearly, you were afraid we might see...
Read moreIt is definitely worth the drive and every penny. I spent about $80 on 5 desserts, but I'm telling you, it's WORTH it. Absolutely delicious. So fresh and real. The only negative thing about this experience is we went a few minutes after they opened, and unfortunately they didn't have much ready. About 4 things were ready to go. I understand that these desserts are time consuming!! We had no problem getting a few, eatting and waiting for more to come out as we live 2 hours away. It's a cute little bakery and the staff and owner were lovely. My son was enjoying the taste testing and rating each one!! We wanted to try more but unfortunately they wouldn't have been ready until much later. But that is okay, another excuse to come back and gives our wallet and bellys a brake! Definitely recommend going to try these desserts out, just don't go too early. Honestly, after 1pm and on...
