The Snackery Bakeshop — Restaurant in City of Rye

This bake shop is quite good the problem I have is you can tell the owner only cares about how aesthetically pleasing her place looks , she is always glued to the pastry case during rush time. No sense of urgency in greeting customers while they wait in line granted I know you need to make sure everything is on par but there is a thing called multitasking or having team members in line so there is always someone taking care of the guests. I’m writing this as someone who managed multiple locations so I’m more just giving advice. Today I walked in and everyone behind the line is scattered everywhere and the owner is just looking down and putting pastries in place while there’s a girl and her mother trying to ask the owner a question , one team member comes to the front and the young lady retries to ask the question again and gets completely ignored. You can tell this type of attitude was learned because of the owner. It takes up to 5-10 mins to get your pastries or drinks with no line. Have your team members in stations and HELP as well , answer questions do something other then play with the pastry case. This is not the first time I’ve noticed this , I’ve always came in here while it was busy and there is no sense of direction it just feels chaotic and I’m not even back there working. Hopefully you take this advice looking it at it from your customer point of view and not just ignore it...

A colleague recommended this bakery to my husband, who brought home "Twinkies" for our family. They were so delicious that I made the decision right then to order a cake for a baby shower I was hosting for a friend who is a very talented pastry chef. The party was held in Old Greenwich and The Snackery is a bit of a drive, but I was convinced based on those Twinkies alone that it would be worth it.

I get reallllly disappointed when a cake looks pretty or Instagram-worthy but doesn't taste good. Sara’s banana pudding cake is truly the best cake I have EVER had. We offered slices to the restaurant staff and bartenders; everyone wanted to know where I got the cake, which was beautiful as well.

I will be making the trip to Rye to The Snackery for cakes for any future special occasion. There are plenty of bakery options in Greenwich/Stamford but nothing comes close to The Snackery. What a find!

This bakery is the best! We recently ordered a custom cake for a baby shower from The Snackery Bakeshop. Emily (in the front of the house) was very quick to follow up with my order request and was meticulous in taking note of exactly what we wanted. Sarah (the baker) did an amazing job with our cake. It was a delicious blueberry lemon cake and the simple design was exactly as requested. We asked for a simple design to showcase our toppers we ordered on Etsy, and the cake did just that. The cake was the centerpiece of the dessert table and attendees could not stop raving about how beautiful and delicious the cake was.
