Went to KFC to grab something quick for a late lunch... to go. I waited almost a half hour for a famous bowl and an 8 pc $20 fill up. After 20 minutes a very nice man came out from the back with a smile on his face and initiated conversation with me. I explained I'd been waiting 20 minutes and he went to find out how much longer it would be. I told him I work a 2nd job in a restaurant so I felt bad even asking and he explained it was no big deal. Finally got my food and noticed the lady had given me a small side of mac n cheese. I asked if this was the large side. I wasn't sure because I hadn't been there in awhile. She said no but that was what she'd charged me for. I explained that I'd asked to add a large side for 2 bucks like it said on the sign. She basically said that I'd only paid for the smaller side. I told her I didn't mind paying the 2 bucks for the larger side because I needed it. She put the smaller one back grabbed a bigger one and went to ring me out. I asked if I had already paid for the smaller one too... she was annoyed but put that one back in the bag too and then must've asked her manager how to charge me or something. Manager told her to take back the smaller side and just give me the bigger one. I felt bad for obviously being annoying and was kind of embarrassed.... but now I'm thinking I wasn't being unreasonable or even remotely rude. That lady made me feel like I was inconveniencing her after I'd just waited a half hour for fast food and was only trying to get what I ordered. I'm not expecting first class service at KFC but if you're going to work in customer service you probably shouldn't get annoyed with servicing your customers. Read moreThe food was good, however the customer service at the drive thru was terrible. At first the woman's tone on the microphone sounded like she was annoyed and she basically rushed us. At the drive through window my mom asked for 3 of the $5 boxes to have wedges and she wasn't paying attention. When we got the food my mom asked if she switched the sides for wedges and she rudely said "give me the bag back" making sounds of aggravation. When we got the bag of food back, my mom was checking to make sure everything was in the bag and the woman noticed saying that the wedges were in it. It turned out that they weren't. She quickly said sorry and handed us the bag of wedges and the sliding door slammed in our faces. I immediately took a picture of her to make a report on her attitude and my mom just drove away politely without causing a problem.
I believe that this woman should be talked to about her behavior and if she's unwilling to change her attitude, shouldn't be working with customers. My experience would have been more pleasant if my mom and I weren't rushed and were spoken to in a nicer manner because customer service comes first. In addition, I would like to speak to the manager to report this persons behavior.
Has anyone else received similar treatment to this before?
Update: I've been looking through the reviews and as you can see, I haven't been the only customer that has been treated with poor customer service. Clearly something...
Read more5PM on a Sunday Evening----- Food-Food was not what it should have been, normal 3 piece order has a leg, a back and a breast. I received 1 leg, two backs. Very, very greasy, gelatin like texture between coating and chicken. Service, it was clear the staff is not trained, organized or provided leadership. Orders that were simple routine items on the menu were stumping the employees, they all had ear pods in and could not seem to hear what any customer requested. The floor space in the prep area was littered with bags, cup covers, napkins. The hand wash sink looked like it has 10 years accumulation of lime or mineral water buildup, not clean at all and in full view of customers. They allowed me initially to sit at the order board in drive through for nearly 10 minutes, I finally drove up to the window, the employee has his back to the window playing on a cell phone, the window was open, I said excuse me 3 times before he turned to tell me I had to come inside to place an order. This is the second time in 3 months drive through has been not functioning . There were 6 employees working no excuse! Ambiance is a JOKE! Filthy, floors covered in water and grease, unsafe walking surface in customer area. Looking at soda machine surfaces, counter serving surfaces, tables and chairs it is clear no sanitation or sanitizing is performed. NEVER AGAIN!!! I believe the Health Department needs to visit. "HINT" I would rate lower than one star...
