Food is very good and fresh. And price is good based on fresh food, made on the spot. I think some people seem to forget that if you want good quality food you must wait just a tad longer because itās made to order (Iām almost positive that waiting an hour is an over exaggeration, been there several times, a couple times with large groups, never has it taken an hour). Letās also not forget that this is a new establishment, you canāt hire a ton of employees right off the bat, you do things alone or with a couple of people to help so you can build a customer base. So keep coming and the bigger and faster theyāll get! Fries are hand cut and made to order so they arenāt soggy which is great! I love a good crunchy fry. Portions are perfect for the price, because itās not JUST a sandwich, fries or home fries come with it too. Lattes are yummy! The poached egg and avocado on jalapeƱo toast is awesome!! Tastes so good with the homemade verde sauce. French toast is challah bread (not Italian, it says it on the menu š) and everyone knows challah is thick cut. Also, maple syrup is real maple syrup, not watered down fake syrup, and the butter is cinnamon sugar butter, so they taste so much better. Furthermore, according to the menu itās $5.50, that doesnāt break the bank there (Definitely worth the price for he extra, real, food). The stockade sliders are my favorite! That and the roast beef special! They are sooooooo good!! Iāve had the tea also, itās not $4, not sure why people are exaggerating on their reviews. If you want to pay cheaper than these extremely reasonable and in my opinion not expensive at all, prices for a sandwich, Iād go to subway then. Which actually now that I think about it, itās actually costs more for a sub there and it all tastes like prepackaged deli meat and factory baked bread. Not a real piece of juicy steak thatās on the stockade sliders or real cooked roast beef that she slices right there. Iāve seen it through the window, she has a meat slicer in the back!!!
Just for reference here, Iām a big advocate for small business and this business deserves to flourish because the food is very good and you can tell Maria puts her heart and soul into her food and her business and in order for a new business to flourish and serve you better each time then you need to patronize these businesses and you should be genuinely smart about it.If you have an issue, bring it up to he owner first and foremost to give them an opportunity to fix any mistake, instead of immediately bitching and giving them a bad review. They rely on their business to support themselves and their families, so give them the chance to make you happy again! We are only...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThese reviews are a damn lie, 4 years ago I dont even remember this place being open that long it looks closed more often than not but since I hadnt tried it yet and was walking by with my three kids under 8 I stopped in and ordered food. While I ordered food I grabbed a blueberry scone because I was starving from the counter. It visually looked older so I said "is this from yesterday" and she said YES. I took it and parted it between two of my kids and I, they said it didnt taste good and didnt eat anymore thankfully. Unfortunately I am pmsing and in a horrible mood and starving so I continued to eat over half of it before i realized what was remaining was COVERED in BLACK and white mold on the blueberry sections. LARGE amount of mold after i noticed a tinge of greeen and actually looked at it. I AM SO MAD ABOUT THIS! Not only did I eat moldy food that was handed to me by who seems to be the owner without properly checking and obviously lying about when it was prepared and pug out, but im allergic to pennicilin AND my children ate it!!!!!!!! I told her we weren't eating there and she refunded me and I left but she was NOT very remorseful and just said "i didnt know" to which i responded I ASKED YOU when it was from, yesterday? And you said YES she said sometimes it gets hot in here and gets moldy (continued to lie) a scone from yesterday you left out on the counter overnight in your hot cafe and let get moldy to THAT degree and then sold to me. I am so not happy with this place I suggest NOT eating here, they are not paying attention and someones going to get sick!!!!!!!!! Other people in comments noted seemingly bad food within all these positive...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTonight I ordered the Honey BBQ Chicken Tender sub and was blown away. This is actually my 4th time ordering from Maria's Cafe and she hasn't let me down yet. The sub was fresh with all well made indigents. The bun was toasted, the chicken was sweet and had a crunchy breaded crust. In all honesty, the phrase "chicken tenders" may be an attractive draw, but this level of quality is well beyond the packaged food of the same name. Even the side of fries was beautifully made with real cut potatoes.
The previous week I picked up Maria's Meatloaf dinner for four. Again, the ingredients were fresh and delicious, the meatloaf was one of the best we've ever tried -- moist and flavorful, and it came with creamy mashed potatoes, fresh sauteed green beans, and four side salads, for about $30 after...
