Bottom line: This is a 'nice' restaurant with great vision and wonderful staff. The food is lacking execution and the freshness expected of raw seafood.

There is a clear middle eastern theme to the dishes, though there is some creative mixing of pan-American flavors and colorful use of fruit, which presents beautifully on their moss green plates. The whole experience was visually stunning
The food can only be rated 2*-- every single dish, with maybe the exception of the lamb burger and fries, was over salted. As the meal continued, it became nearly inedible. Scallop crudo tasted a day or two past its prime, and was also heavily sprinkled with sea salt. Most of the other dishes had distinct disparate flavors that didn't quite fit together, but was at least creative. Something in the eggplant was stale.
Imagining the plates with the right amount of salt, we could see what the chef is going for: a creative fusion of synergistic flavors to elevate your 'typical' middle-eastern fare. The recipes just need a slight rebalance: lighter textures, less fat, less salt, more sweet/sour notes worked into every component of a dish rather than depending on each component to contribute all of a single flavor note, with more layers of flavor to do the visual presentation justice.
Overall, this was a great place to spend an evening, with great visuals/ambiance and a wonderful, competent waitress (ours was Rachel). Once they lock in on the food that they want to serve, consistently, this can become one of the best restaurants...

Would absolutely recommend reservations, I lucked out on a weekday and was able to sit at the bar with a friend which was a great opportunity to try food and drinks.We additionally lucked out being seated next to one of their excellent bartenders who just so happened to stop in for some food off the clock,we got an incredible curated experience.Its always a really good sign when staff come in on their own time.
Service was absolutely incredible with knowledgeable and friendly staff who were quick to answer any questions and make sure we were promptly taken care of,they crushed it.
The atmosphere is superb,a renovated bank with a sheek modern vibe,classy but not pretentious.I personally love repurposing spaces and this is exactly how it's done,they crushed it.
Finally the star of the show:food and drink.Their cocktail menu is incredible with a wide selection of unique cocktails and wide variety of wines.I would highly recommended their 50/50 which is an excellent tequila cocktail that is dangerously good.Their espresso Martini is possibly the best I've ever had,can't recommended enough. Their calamari is some of the best I've ever had,definitely the best I've ever had outside of the actual Mediterranean.Perfectly flash fried,light and crispy paired with an outstanding savory sauce.Lamb burger was stunning with amazing fries and a perfect truffle Aioli accompaniment.Food and drink;they crushed it.

The pictures don't do the interior decor justice; the bar is immaculate, the entire interior is so tastefully done, I really didn't feel like I was dining in Schenectady, NY. Every course was exceptional from start to finish. We started with the whipped ricotta and crab cake which was perfectly crisp; for dinner I had the short rib which was fantastic and we finished with the choco taco, the homemade gelato was divine. Every dish was crafted with love, no garnish or accompaniment forgotten; it's evident when they crafted this menu it was a labor of love. Oh, and how can I forget the drinks and service-another home run! They thoughtfully made us mini-versions of the drinks so we could try 2 different dessert cocktails, both were incredible! Nick was our server and his knowledge of the menu paired with his personalized recommendations, friendly demeanor and making us laugh all night truly made the night unforgettable. We were lucky enough to meet many of the staff members throughout the night, all seemed so genuinely happy in their roles-it was great to see as that's not always commonplace in the hospitality industry.
