Buds On Jay — Restaurant in City of Schenectady

This place peaked my interest because it is always jam packed when I come downtown on Sundays. Yesterday I decided to give it a try and all I can say is wow, I found my new favorite spot in Schenectady!

I had a hard time choosing my Latte because so many sounded so good, but I went with one of their favorites on the chalk sign, the Baklava, YUM!!!! I got a banana muffin to go with it and a breakfast sandwich that had avocado and spring mix, and both were delicious. They told me the muffins are made there and you could tell, fresh and amazing. ♡

I heard one of the staff from the kitchen talking with people as she brought their food, and I loved she knew so many people by name.

They obviously have a lot of regulars, and I can see why! The food was excellent and the service and atmosphere felt like being a guest in a friend's home. I'll definitely be back! Great job Bud's on...

UPDATE: APRIL 2024, I arrived early around 5 mins after opening time, there was one person ahead of me, they ordered, then the person behind the counter DECIDED to take many more orders for people who came in several MINUTES AFTER in addition, to also taking an order on the phone; by the time the person behind the counter FINALLY started preparing my order,8 minute has gone by and my ride was already scheduled to my be delayed, but I still missed it because right when I was crossing the street, my transportation passed me by and arrived at work late. Due to the facts: 1.Pointless waiting to take SEVERAL people orders BEFORE EVEN getting started on the orders of people who have been waiting. waiting excessively before my order was even completed. This is a pretty good spot! We ordered 2 coffees and 2 breakfast sandwiches. The coffee is good and the staff is super friendly/helpful. Prices are also reasonable! As for the breakfast sandwiches, they lacked flavor and were a bit soggy/greasy. I’m sure this is not a regular thing but the sandwiches took 30 minutes to come out and it wasn’t very busy when we ordered. The inside portion of the cafe is smaller with limited seating, it has a cool atmosphere if it’s not packed with people(not much you can do about being busy!) Outside seating is spacious and also has an awesome and relaxing vibe to it if the weather cooperates.
