Pizza King Schenectady — Restaurant in City of Schenectady

Just moved to the area, was looking to try a local pizza spot that’s close by. Pizza King is legit a 3 minute walk from my building. Start off with the staff who are extremely friendly and courteous. The gentleman who rang me out noticed I would have saved money if I ordered using the “special” so he adjusted the pricing and added the coupon which offered me a free soda and 4 garlic knots added to my order. To me, that means a lot. The man didn’t have to do anything as I wasn’t even aware of the special but he chose to do so. That speaks volumes to a business and its morals. As for the food, delish. I ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza and a thing of mild buffalo wings. Both were amazing. The cheese on the pizza is definitely noticeable in a very good way. It’s different than big chains and even some other private places, definitely and a nice change up to actually notice a cheese flavor! Also the mild sauce for the wings are ON point. So to sum it up, very very good first experience with Pizza King. Will definitely be ordering here again soon!

Today I had the WORST EXPERIENCE at what use to be my FAVORITE pizza shop! The worker that was there today took my order of 4 Hawaiian slices 2 chicken bacon ranch and 4 garlic knots. I paid $27.21 and he didn’t give me a receipt and when I arrived home I was missing 3 Hawaiian slices. When I called they said I needed to go back so I did and when I went back he refused to show me my receipt, he looked at it and put it back in the register and said I had paid only $15.00. I did get taken advantaged of because when I arrived home and checked my bank statement I had in fact paid $27.21! The worker had in fact cheated me out of 3 Hawaiian slices, lied in front of other customers and also got payment for 3 extra Hawaiian slices that a really nice man there paid for to resolve the issue! Appreciated but was not necessary because I had money if I needed to pay but I didn’t and it was the principal of the matter at hand. They cheated me out of $12.00. THEY DONT VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS! I spent about an hour searching for the best pizza on DoorDash and decided to try Pizza King based on its good reviews and higher price point. When it arrived, I immediately noticed it looked different from the photos, but I was still excited to try it. After my first slice, I was shocked by how bland it tasted..it definitely wasn’t worth $30 and didn’t live up to being the most expensive pie on DoorDash. Still hungry, I went for a second smaller slice, only to find a hair baked into the pizza. At first, I thought maybe it was mine, but when I tried to remove it, I realized it was embedded under the cheese and into the dough. That’s when I started gagging.I’m beyond disappointed. For the price, I expected something at least edible, but this was the exact opposite. Never again will I order from “Pizza King.” Honestly, I could make a better pizza at home.
