If you enjoy home-style Italian cooking, this is a restaurant you will love. Generous portions, truly outstanding sauce, delicious mozzarella, and very reasonable prices. Try their antipasto for one with Italian dressing followed by the stuffed shells. You'll have enough pasta left over for a second meal at home. Although this restaurant doesn't get a lot of buzz, in 2019 it was selected as one of the top 5 Italian restaurants in Syracuse by readers of the Post Standard. If you haven't tried Angotti's, do yourself a favor and eat there soon. You'll think you've walked into a small family-run trattoria in ltaly. POST PANDEMIC UPDATE: The food is just as good as always, except they are now operating on a takeout basis only. UPDATE-2: After spending 12 days in the hospital, this was the first restaurant I requested for take-out food when I got home. Delicious!

I wanted a to try a local Italian restaurant here in Syracuse. This place had great reviews and I decided to give it a go. I can now see why it’s take out only if they served it to your face you’d scream at them. I don’t understand how this place is around. The food is lifeless, and old tasting like something you’d get at a nursing home. The sauce tastes like canned stock garbage. All the pasta was either soft slime or recooked. The only good thing was the meatballs which were the only thing that tasted fresh. I don’t like to write negative reviews but this was garbage and you don’t call yourself a restaurant and disrespect yourself and your customers by serving this garbage.

Neighborhood spot for large quantities of home cooked Italian foods. They're not going to win any culinary awards but I don't think they're trying. That's ment as a compliment. They stick to the basics and they do them well. Menu is limited but they have pretty much everything you'd expect. The $ 3.25 house red wine was a pleasant surprise. Red sauce was a bit sweet for my taste but not bad. Its more of an extra ripe tomato sweet then an added sugar sweet. Nevertheless this place is a solid if not fancy option in the area. Will be back for sure.

Mr. and Mrs. Angotti Sr. are right from Sicily so you know you are in good hands! We have NEVER had an off meal in the many years my husband and I have been going. The restaurant has been around for ages... it is small; the dining room is the converted 1st floor of (I believe) their original house which has been turned into the restaurant. Sauce that even my Italian mother and grandmother loved which should tell you how good it is. Very reasonably priced which doesn't translate at all to small portions. We always leave with a doggy bag and we are good eaters. Expect a wait time on busy nights since the dining room is small and people do bring large groups. If an SU game is going on expect that you will run into a crowd since it's not far from the Dome. If you bring kids get pizza - trust me. For a small place I will say they do keep things moving so you aren't standing waiting in line that long. Seating is based on available tables so don't get miffed if someone goes ahead of you. They do serve beer and wine but there is no...

Waited 5 minutes to be seated. Once seated waited over 20 minutes to get a glass of water. Watched the waitress wait on people that came in after us and cash out people ready to leave with no kind of urgency. Once waited on, we sat for another 20 minutes waiting for our food. We did eventually get some bread which was stale. We had one person whom ordered a salad. Never got the salad until after she got her meal. Oops, I forgot your salad was all we got from the waitress. She told us she could take a dollar off the bill because she forgot it, or pay for it and have it boxed up. Took her another 10 minutes to bring us the bill, which when she came to our table told us she already given it to us. She had to write up another, because she misplaced it. She never apologized for the wait and once giving us our food, never checked whether we needed anything. Service was awful and I won't ever go back. I will also be sure to tell friends and family about my experience there. Food wasn't bad, but was not worth the wait or...

The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. I don't know why everyone is so high on the garlic pizza though. We thought it was fairly bland, and needed more garlic. It is pretty big for a "small" though, which I appreciate, and the crust is very good. The bread they bring to the table was soft and tasted fresh. The salad, however, was pedestrian. One slice of tomato, one cucumber, and 2 black olives on a bed of iceberg lettuce. Their sauce is what you expect to get at an Italian restaurant, and it's better than anything I've ever poured out of a jar. I liked the sausage and meatball, but my companion thought the sausage was too mushy and the meatball tasted like a spaghetti-o's meatball! We got there at 5:15 and just a few tables were occupied, but by 5:30 there were only 2 tables open, and people were waiting by 6. They don't really have a proper waiting area, which is a drag, and I don't know how wheelchairs get to the dining room. I would recommend this place for a date night or a place to...
