Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters at Destiny USA — Restaurant in City of Syracuse

Really good coffee!!! It was my first time their and I got the Jamaican me crazy(chocolate /cinnamon taste/smell, yum). Me and my tia could smell the coffee as we walked by. Again it was really good coffee. The only thing ,there was a desent amount of coffee grinds at the bottom of my cup. I had to spit it out and dump the last of my coffee.

I feel like a lot of coffee places (Dunkin,Starbucks, kubal) have not been paying attention to the coffee grinds. If you over fill the coffee grinds/ go over the amount you need to use to make a pot,than its going to overflow and end up in the coffee pot. I worked at a coffee shop for 5 years and that was something we kept an eye on. I feel like most coffees I had since 2021 had been getting bad with the coffee grinds. It’s a mall coffee shop, you aren’t coming here because it’s easy to drop in. That being said, the coffee is hot and hits the spot occasionally. This last stop, however, wasn’t the greatest experience. (#1) I ordered a muffin that clearly didn’t have any “nuts” in its name. When I bit into the muffin, I was surprised and didn’t finish. I’m not deathly allergic, but I do have serious reactions, depending on the type of but. (#2) my wife stopped in before closing and got her coffee. As she was walking away, she overheard the baristas talking about how dirty the coffee machine was. She promptly threw her coffee away because that statement doesn’t need to be qualified, or stated when customers are present. Do better, Finger Lakes...

I was really looking forward to trying Finger Lake Cafe based on a friend recommendation, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The cafe was supposed to open at 10 AM — I arrived around 11, and it was still closed with no signage or explanation. After waiting, the staff finally opened the doors, but instead of a warm welcome, I was met with a rude attitude. One of the ladies was yelling and clearly rushing to take orders, which made the environment uncomfortable and stressful.

I ordered a caramel iced latte, which cost $8 — not cheap — and honestly, it wasn’t worth the wait or the unpleasant service. The drink was average at best, and definitely didn’t justify the price or...
