Not really good directions when you get to the mall. BUT it's on the 3rd floor next to Dave N Busters. I am glad I went to the early show. No line to wait in. I showed up around 6pm and still had a pretty good seat. The lady out front selling shirts was very nice. Of course the merchandise will be pricey. I went to see Marlon Waynans. So a t shirt cost $50 but it was great quality front and back. If you dont come with friends (I was solo) you will be at a table with strangers. But it was fine. By the time the show starts everyone is a family. Drinks and food was decent. Only paid about $40 for everything. And 18% gratuity is already included. Thats way cheaper than any comedy club I been to in the past. The show was supposed to start at 630pm...but didn't start until close to 7pm with the opening act. He was funny (forgot his name though sorry...maybe DC?) Marlon got on around 728pm and ended around 835pm. The meet and greet was a little pricey at $50. I figured I supported him enough with a tshirt...lol. I met his brother Shawn after a comedy show in San Diego years ago and got a picture for free. My stomach was hurting from laughing and had real tears. Marlon is great with stand-up comedy. He touched on so many topics. Back to the club atmosphere everyone was very nice, the food decent. I got the shrimp quesidilla and it was light on the shrimp. And I got a rum drink called the Rubber Chicken that was strong enough for me without adding more liquor (I am a lightweight) Parking was by the Cheesecake Factory but I am sure you can park anywhere around the mall. The show was on a Saturday night so it was a little crowded. I got lucky and a spot opened up when I pulled around. Bathrooms were clean but only 2 stalls. So may be a line depending on when you go. The biggest reason why I am glad I went to an early show? I walked out and the 930pm show line was wrapped down past Dave And Busters almost to the escalators. And everyone was still not even cleared out the auditorium. The t shirt lady says the late show usually dont end until after midnight most nights. Im sorry but my bedtime is 10pm most nights. Lol I am glad they have an early show option. There are a couple more comedians I want to check out while I am up in Syracuse. I will...
Read moreTonight was the worst experience ever! Not to mention i went last week and had just about the same service. However today topped it. Tickets was paid for Jess Hilarious7:30show me and my party of 3 set a table with 3 other ppl. We was harassed 3 times for 3 totally different reasons. First they asked did we have any bottles of liquor as if we all didn’t just order liquor. The folks on the side of us complained because we was laughing and talking in regards to the show (didn’t know it was a crime to laugh at Comedy show). So the staff not one two or three but 4 ppl came to our table making matters worst.. Not shortly after And last but not least some random dude came over and said we was recording the show.. me personally I’ve been to quite a few shows and recoding never once crossed my mind. All of this happen and we never received our food. We step out to speak to Lori the “manager” who was very rude and not understanding at all. In the meantime we was confronted by the folks who originally made the complaint and began to be all hostile and then the woman spit.. security did absolutely nothin at that point my friends and i was ask him leave.. while all this is going on the food finally arrived to our table and Jess finally came on stage.. they refused to give us our money back for a show we didn’t watch and demanded money for food we didn’t eat.. again Lori was rude and disrespectful she called cops and we was threaten with peti larceny tickets for refusing to pay.. overall this was the worst experience i had in a very long time and i will not be returning back to the funny bone.. the customer service was poor so poor the other 3 ppl at our table left as well smh.. i will be calling to make further complaints in the morning i can’t believe i even had to go through such act.. So...
Read moreI love this venue and always enjoy the comics. The staff is friendly and thankfully gone are the days of pushing drink minimums, but buyer beware just the same We are regular attendees and one thing that really irks me is when they pad the bill. It's not every time, but I've caught them 75% of the time. Gratuity is added at 18% which is fine, but I become incensed when the staff takes advantage of customers in the dark, not able to see the bill, or not paying attention because they're watching the show. I've seen a packed house with trusting patrons lining the tables with credit cards, and the waitresses grabbing them all in one fell swoop, not knowing they were overcharged. I always look at the bill, and 6 out of 9 visits, our drinks were up-charged from well, which is what was ordered, to top shelf at $4 more per drink, and a single soda at $4, being charged at $8 for bottomless. The venue makes extra for items not sold, and it also bumps the automatic 18% gratuity, thus the waitress giving herself a bigger tip for services not performed on items not delivered. Albeit, it's the responsibility of the patron to check their tab, yet imagine how challenging it would be for an entire room with hundreds of patrons trying to use a cell phone light to check their tabs, all at once. At about 100 tables, (many doubled up with two checks), and a minimum extra of $8 on those checks, it equates to $1600 in padded charges with an additional $288 in gratuities added. I ordered a 2nd drink tonight and never got it, but the $12 charge was on the bill, along with bottomless soda instead of a single one. That's $16, plus tax, plus gratuity. It's unreasonable and dishonest. It's not everyone though, so pay attention to your check and enjoy the show. I'll continue to see shows, but I'll always...
