Have had the pleasure of eating at Nina’s twice, and definitely plan to continue eating here for as long as they’re around (hopefully a long time!). I have a wheat allergy and everyone there is so kind and knowledgeable about what is/isn’t gluten free (GF), and also explained *why* anything was not GF which is such a reassurance. My first visit I had the gluten free pizza, and my husband (has no allergies) had the CBR slice and Buffalo chicken dip riggies. It was definitely in the top two gluten free pizzas I’ve ever had, and my husband raved about the riggies and says the CBR is the best he’s ever had. My second time eating there, I learned they have gluten free pasta! I was thrilled and again, everyone there was extremely knowledgeable and we decided on a gluten free shrimp alfredo. It is *hands down THE best* shrimp alfredo I’ve ever had - sauce was light and flavorful, shrimp were seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the pasta was high quality. My husband also had their garlic and upside down slices (again, not GF) and is adamant they are a 9.4 and 9.8 out of 10 respectively! Parking is easy and free, so next time you’re looking for your new favorite authentic pizza joint, put Nina’s at the top of your list!

Ok. To start off, I almost NEVER give 5 stars. I'll say this. I'm from outside NYC and this is the best New York City style pizza I've ever had in upstate New York. I can't believe i found it off exit 31 in Utica! I'm going to stop by there again when I drive through just for a slice. I'm not buying rest stop grub in the area again The slices were nice and big. The thin crust was great, just the right amount if chew. Each slice has perfect crust bubbling, which experts will agree most places miss that mark. We had the cheese pie and a white garlic pie slices. They were delicious. I'm salivating just thinking about it. It also reminded me of good Jersey shore pie. They sliced them in half vertically for my kids. The owner, Jon, and his mom, as a matter of fact EVERYBODY THERE was extremely friendly and welcoming and i have 2 young kids that were a little rambunctious and the staff was very gracious towards us. We had 5 large slices and 3 beverages and i was able to feed my family of 4 for about 20 bucks. Beat that! Definitely recommend. Jon from Albany NY, formerly Jersey/NYC Also easy quick access and parking right off NY Thruway. There is a good coffee shop 2 or 3 doors down too.

I ordered a half tray of Chicken Wing Riggies this past weekend for Super Bowl. I live in Liverpool and have never been to Jonny's so because I had an appointment in Utica on Saturday I decided to give Jonny's a try based on the great reviews I had read...a decision that was right on. Jacki helped me with placing the order on the phone Friday for a Saturday pickup. When I did the pickup a lovely lady employee carried it out to my car for me. I had a couple of stops on way back to Liverpool and when I arrived back home I peeked in the catering box and the food was still hot. I cheated and tried some and in one word "INCREDIBLE" On Super Bowl Sunday I followed the directions given to me by Jacki for reheating and it was raved about by all at the party! The customer service and the Chicken Wing Riggies went above and beyond my expectations. I would not hesitate ordering from Jonny's and making the trip there to Utica to pick it up.

Not only is the food delicious, most important in any restaurant is the quality of ingredients, the care in preparation, and last but most certainly not least is of course staff attitudes combined with the However, personally in my opinion it's the consistency of that quality product that builds the reputation which supports that very quality. If you like a particular dish and return to the same establishment to again enjoy that same flavor that engrained to your taste buds, if there is any deviation from the consistency, the quality is thus compromised. Your enthusiasm to return again is diminished. Johnny's hits the mark with both the quality and consistency. Some take for granted that we are so fortunate to live in a very culinary rich and diverse community to the degree that Utica receives much praise for not only the very unique one of a kind edible delights that are indicative to "OUR CITY". I believe that it is not prudent nor encouraging to critique an individual's lively hood in such a negative way as to basically verbally sarcastically sabotage , this hard working fellow utican. Who obviously has a passion and desire to be about service to his community above the typical negative commenters whom seem to indulge in their passion for negativity and misplaced envy brought on by that senseless monotone moronic banter that is far too prevalent a fixture that I do for one would have hoped by now that the process of evoluton would have certainly eliminated from our lives. It Is true perhaps that many pizzerias in any area, including our community, would choose to serve a particular style or version of pizza while at the same time other's chooses to prepare a different variation. Regardless in my opinion to base a review for one business solely on what appears to be a negative hypothesis derived not from fact, or an open minded opinion, is indeed a great disservice not only to those who taken pride in the product they prepare and serve, it also can as well unfairly alienate and persuade a once fair open minded individual to make a decision solely on the negative self satisfying comments of someone that does not seem to be comfortable, happy, or content in our community or the diverse variety of choices we are very fortunate to be able to enjoy in the many wonderous creative and unique flavors of which, have their origins here and are delectable, decadent and delicious enough to encourage ambitions in some passers through to take home with them what our past and even present culinary minds created which in turn has put this Utica unlike others on the map for homegrown flavors that lead many to easily find a reason to return here again for something unique to our community that brings em back to basque in a pleasure and commonality for fine culinary creations and the great sensory pleasure derived from uniquely satisfying flavors...

We ordered Johnnys pizza for delivery to our hotel while traveling through Utica. The food was great! The delivery however was absolutely bizarre.....after we placed our order we received a call from the delivery driver asking where the hotel was located...what street because he can’t find it...I’m thinking to myself “we aren’t from here which is why we are in a hotel...” but I put him on speakerphone and proceeded to google the address (not sure why he didn’t...) We were at Home2 Suites on Genesee Rd and the pizza place is per GPS two minutes straight down the street on the same road!?! I tell him this and he says “oh ok I’ll be there in two minutes”....about five minutes later we get a call again from the driver “I can’t find it, what do you see when you look out front from your hotel?”...at this point I’m irritated, we look out our window and tell him we are right beside the Holiday Inn Express, he says he will be right here. A couple of minutes later we can actually see him pull up in the parking lot from our window and get out and come into the building. A few minutes later we still haven’t seen him so I open my door and look in the hallway...sure enough he is wandering all the way down the hallway having walked right by our room which was right off the elevator. I wave at him and get him to come back to the correct room...he then asks if I have a pen to sign the receipt which luckily I do...on the receipt it has my room number literally listed right in plain sight....I don’t know if this was a prank or what but...

I never really post any reviews but this was easily the worst experience I have ever had, especially considering the high ratings this place had.

I placed an order on UberEats and went to pick it up for my family. Upon arrival, the workers there were shockingly and extremely rude, when I first showed up and told them that I was there to pickup an UberEats order, the guy said “why are you telling me this”, “why do I care?” (He did this for a whole several minutes) And I just froze because it completely caught me off guard. Thereafter, they kept laughing at the situation and made me feel extremely awkward and uncomfortable.

I also waited much longer than the anticipated time for the order since the order on Ubereats said it was ready to be picked up. (this isn’t the issue I wanted to address, the waiting didn’t really bother me)

Right after I picked up the order they said “Get out of here, door dasher” (just to clarify, I am an engineer who travels frequently and I love trying local foods when I travel) and proceed to continue laughing even though it was a takeout order I made. Although I wasn’t expecting an “enjoy” or “have a good day” or anything but what they said was just extremely unwarranted, rude, and immature.

This is very disappointing and the whole situation made me extremely uncomfortable, never thought I would say this but I will never come back to this place again, and I will be telling my friends and families the same.

I can’t believe they would treat a paying...
