JRECK Subs — Restaurant in City of Watertown

I have loved JRECK since the first sandwich I had 14 years ago when I was visiting family in NY (living in Texas at the time). Since then, my family and I have planned our trips around making sure we'd get at least one JRECK sandwich. Last year, my family relocated full time and Jrecks literally was one of our top 10 factors in weighing our options... I should have left a review at that time, but I recently had an experience that just blew me away and I needed to share. Due to a miscommunication, I found myself needing food for 30 with about 2 hours notice, while this is absolutely not recommended, and not a situation I'd encourage anyone to end up in, JRECKs on Arsenal not only came through for me, but guided me on the popular recommendations. They made the whole process easier than I could have imagined. While my future large orders will be made with the required 24hrs notice, Danielle and her team took the situation and ran with it, while also not making me feel like the inconvenience I was. They packed sauces, utensils, and toppings to give the full JRECKs experience even off-site. 10/10 experience and can't wait for...

JRECK is a local chain with approximately 25 locations. I have visited this location multiple times, and I have been most impressed with the consistently friendly service I have received when there. Buying a sub is a simple act; it's nice to be greeted with a smile and some friendly small-talk.

Food-wise, the menu is adequate. This is a sub shop, after all, not a fine dining. There are some deep-fried options, such as deep-fried pickle chips, pizza logs (egg rolls stuffed with pepperoni and cheese--delicious), deep fried cheese curds, and of course, french fries. JRECK doesn't offer a lot of toppings for their subs, but their toppings cover the basics, and I got no push-back or surcharge when I asked for extra tomato slices on one of my subs.

Portions are very healthy, and the prices are reasonable for what you get.

Parking is adequate for the size of this location. It can be a bit awkward getting out of this location if you need to make a left turn...

I visited the Arsenal Street location, on 10/26/24, and was so relieved to receive the service that was rendered. I had left a funeral and was tasked with finding food to feed more people than anticipated, at the reception. I stopped into Jreck’s, hoping they would accommodate my urgent request for a sub platter tray. Upon entering, I was greeted with friendly smiles. The ladies behind the counter, were surprisingly willing to help me in my quest for food. They had the platter completed in less than 30 minutes and helped deliver it to my vehicle! ( For context, industry standard, for food platters, generally request a minimum of 24 hours notice.) I should have left a tip, but wasn’t carrying cash.
