I walked into a Five Guys today and was told to put on a mask. They said they had been doing that since Wed. Perhaps they think they are just being careful or getting head start on what the state wants but I disagree. If they are being "careful" than, since the common Flu kills more than Covid, we should be maksed up for the rest of our lives Now obviously they are one of most businessses tha are requiring this. The difference is they are the one I walked into today and the one I will not patronize for the foreseeable future. If you are vaccinated than what school of thought so called modernity calls science has no clue. If you are vaccinated you should have to wear a mask. Either iw works or it doesnt. And if your only response is you are just being careful, or getting a head start on what the state wants than SPARE ME a response. If you are being careful than we should wear masks for the rest of our lives because of the common flu. Five guys is contributing, admittedly along with most other businesses, to rank despotism. As a great American once said "those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve to have neither." Buh...
Read moreI've been to Five Guys in DC and was happy when I heard one was going to be an hour and a half from me. We go to Watertown from time to time and I was excited to eat at Five Guys again.
The service was great. The burgers were overcooked. The disappointment really came when we got to the fries. Or lack there of to be exact.
In DC, my wife and I had never been to a Five Guys so we weren't prepared for the truck load of fries you get when you order a large. We ordered 2 and they scooped and scooped and scooped until they had dumped about 5 cups worth in the bag.
Having learned our lesson from last time we only ordered 1 this time. Unfortunately it appears the Five Guys in Watertown doesn't adhere to the same standards as the one in DC. We got 1 cup of fries. No more, no less. Worked out to roughly the same amount as you'd get at MCD's. The fries were tasty, but not plentiful.
It cost about $26 I think, for 2 burgers, 2 drinks, and 1 large fry. Not worth it at that quality and quantity. So sad. I had...
Read moreI worked at red Robin for 4 years and got free burgers nightly if I wanted them, the staff at 5 guys knew me by name and knew my order verbatim and knew I was coming in every night after work (at a "burger joint") to get my fave order from my fave (a wayyyy better more fresh than red robin) burger and fry place! 5 guys is THE BEST BURGER you're going to get around here. Period. Made fresh to order every single time with fresh cut ingredients to add as much as u want to ur burger and an entire bag of fries that are phenomenal!! And don't even get me started on their famous milkshakes. They have every flavor you can imagine and you can even mix flavors. My favorite is a chocolate peanut butter extra thick shake. Try five guys, I promise you will not be disappointed like u were...
