Sonic. A slice of times past, sonic is a burger joint which features a drive-in. Park in the drive in, push button and order like you would in a drive through. Then wait and watch as a bell-shaped comes out, sometimes on roller skates, although not all of them do. Eh, can't expect perfect replication of a bygone age. The staff are always friendly, and service is pretty fast. The one in Watertown is located near several hotels, making in convenient for those who are stopping at the Paris Hilton Inn, comfort Inn, or the various other inns in the area. Additionally it is located just off of arsenal street, where most of the chain stores in the area can be found. Walmart, target, etc all all there, making it a convenient stop before or after doing some shopping.
The burgers are pretty good. I have had the sonic double with bacon and the bacon was crisp, the patties juicy, the cheese didn't melt well however. The fires were nice and hot, and just the right balance of crisp in the outside, and soft on the inside. Perhaps the one issue with them was that they were a bit on the salty side. A common problem I have had with most places, and everyone has different tolerances of salty foods. Mine tends to be a bit low in that regard. The ice cream is really nice, the Reese's sonic blasts are my favorite.
Summery: Good food, good prices, good location and friendly service. Sonic is a highly recommended stop for any family looking to eat out and brings a bit of that older timey...
Read moreBeen here recently to get the Eclipse slush floats. I read previously that they aren't responsive to the parking order stations, the places where you park your car, push the red button, place your order and they bring it out to you. That's true, which initially upset me as I was waiting for a while and got no response. But the drive-thru line was moving at a steady pace so I thought I would give that a try and I got my order placed and the girl who I paid and gave me my order was very sweet. The Eclipse slush floats were DELICIOUS and I also ordered fries and they were good also.
So the food isn't the problem, and the people working there aren't bad. I read that they're very short-staffed at the moment which would explain why they aren't responding to the parking order stations. Everything here to me seems perfectly fine, but if they can't respond to the parking stations then they need to place traffic cones or place a sign on them saying to either order inside or go to the drive-through, that would save this location a lot of bad reviews.
So overall this isn't a bad place, but they need to be more upfront with what's going on internally that's causing a lack of response to the parking stations so that customers aren't leaving upset and feeling their time has...
Read moreso i pretty much never review places but this was so bad i just have to lmao. i came here with a few family members. it took like ten minutes for anyone to realize we were here, standing at the counter and waiting to order. after ordering, we sat down and realized the place was pretty dirty. lots of crumbs, trash, etc. we got our food and it was not great. the fries were decent but the frozen drinks were practically flavorless, my mom’s burger was absolutely drowned in sauce, and one of my chicken tenders was so squishy and rubbery it couldn’t even be bitten into. after eating our mediocre food we left, but first, i went into the bathroom to use it because we had a long drive home. i stepped in the women’s bathroom and goddamn. the smell. i literally gagged. on top of that, it was filthy. the floors and toilet and sink were covered in dirt, hair, you name it. i said nope and just walked out because you wouldn’t catch me dead using a bathroom like that. i’d rather piss myself lmfao. it was just a very poor experience overall. y’all aint getting our money ever again :D
tldr; long wait time, dirty dining area, disappointing food, disgusting bathroom. will not...
