First of all, let me just say that this is NOT a five-star experience. It’s probably somewhere around 4.2, but the service was so exceptional that I had to lean toward five stars. I think part of the problem was that my expectations were a little too high, and within the first five minutes, being served cold bread with cold butter was not what I expected. Every time I go to a high-end Italian restaurant, I look forward to hot bread with a crispy crust and room-temperature butter or good-quality olive oil with a cracked pepper mill, so I was surprised to not receive that here.

The grilled octopus appetizer was probably a four-star dish, and the portion wasn’t even close to the price point. But again, the level of service allowed me to overlook that. In addition, one pet peeve I have is the nickel-and-diming, like charging $3.50 for a Diet Coke filled with ice, needing a refill within two minutes because the glass was mostly ice, and then being charged for each soda. When the waiter sees that the soda is empty with the first sip, within the first 30 seconds, they shouldn’t have to ask if you want another. They should just bring it to you, knowing there was barely anything in the glass to begin with. I was literally embarrassed for the waiter because I knew it wasn’t his fault—it was the bartender packing the glass with ice, thinking customers wouldn’t notice they weren’t actually getting any real product. There’s really no other way to put it. I never mind paying for great food, but seven dollars for what essentially amounts to half a can of Diet Coke is obnoxious.

I asked for the Chilean sea bass without any salt, but my request was ignored, and the dish came out salty, which was another issue. However, the waiter was absolutely spot on, which helped absorb that disappointment. All in all, while I’m giving this a five-star rating due to the outstanding service, I would never go back. It’s just too expensive for what you get. I can get the same level of food by driving two miles down Central Avenue. But let me reiterate that the service is exactly what you would expect in an old-world, high-end Italian restaurant, so be prepared to pay for the labor cost, not the food.

P.S. Love the ability to pay with the QR code right...

Wonderful! I left my smartphone in the car, so I don't have pictures. My husband & I had an excellent meal. This restaurant still serves delicious crusty Italian bread, freshly made crispy bread sticks, butter & olive oil & calamatta olives, included as part of your meal at no additional charge. (Some restaurants are now charging a 'service fee' for bread & butter). For starters we had a Ceasar Salad, & the appetizer special this evening which was house made crab cakes with a mustard aioli, for the entree we had the veal chop special, pounded very thin on the bone, encrusted in parmagiano cheese served with a medley of fresh roast potatoes, string beans, broccoli & julienned carrots - perfectly cooked & seasoned so that you taste the freshness of the vegetables not camouflaged by seasoning & herbs - DELICIOUS! Portions are perfect, just enough, not overwhelming, and not so small where you leave hungry - just enough! Finished with classic cappuccino & biscotti, also made on the premises. Very satisfying, delicious dining experience. I'm looking forward to my next dining...

Leaves you mesmorized by being beautiful atmosphere, friendly service that has you covered, and food that satisfies and doesn't leave you overstuffed. I've tried 3 dishes, Chx Sapori, Pappardelle Ai Funghi, and the Rigatoni Bolognese. All, took my breath away, and left me feeling quite cushy and comfy with what I had just experienced. I don't give it five stars, I give it 5 Wows. Because everything was so fantastic. I also had shared a salad with my dinner companion before the main course of Chx Sapori. And the Wedge Salad was heavenly. I'll be back next week bc I've found a special place, this restaurant. If you want a great place to enjoy food in it's simplistic decadence that will surely be your favorite, Sapori has IT! Next time I go I'm trying the Calamari and I may go for some of there spectacular sounding specials. Celebrating this restaurant is a...

If you are looking for an upscale Italian Restaurant, look no further than Sapori. This place is clicking on all cylinders. Lots of interesting and unique dishes along with traditional fare. I had the veal scallopini. It was fresh, delicious, and just the right amount. I started with Pasta Fagioli soup which was so good I didn't want it to end. For dessert, we shared a cannoli portion along with a tiramisu. Both desserts were of the quality one would find in Italy. Service was spectacular. Couldn't have asked for a more accommodating staff. Ample parking in the back. One word....mangia!
