The metro area has pizzeria loyalists of every slice:, Sicilian, wood-fired, coal-fired, and the traditional round pie. How can you top those heated passions? Now you will try an altogether different ‘za: Utica Pie in White Plains. These pies have the sauce, the toppings below the cheese on top of a sort of Sicilian round pie. It’s cut in squares. This pizza has flavorful cheese that stands up to the toppings. The toppings underneath the cheese come together vastly differently for a much more identifiable ingredient taste. Five of us split the large Caesar salad, the terrific wings, but we couldn’t finish the two large pies: one was pepperoni and the other was sausage, pepper and onions. Definitely going into our...
