El Valle — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

The food taste is a 5. In terms of taste, their food is the best compared to competitors nearby. The preparation of the food though, is debatable.

My problem is the service. We didn't order during a busy time. We ordered a combo, (which came with rice, beans, and chicken), and ordered chicken soup and salad with avocado. They take an extremely long time preparing everything (the salad of course, takes its time, but everything else is literally done). It doesn't help that the thought process of all the people there are quite questionable. The combo i ordered came with a salad, but because we ordered a salad, they decided to take out the small salad from the order and instead put only the salad. You arent inclined to say anything because of the attitude that the people tend to give/have.

We ordered to go, and upon arriving home, the chicken was put in a to go container and looked overly greasy. To be specific, it looked dry in a pool of oil. According to the people that ate the chicken (I didn't eat it-- vegetarianism) It didn't taste very good at all. A day later (today, when this review was written) both people who ate the chicken fell very sick with a particularly bothersome stomach ache.

TLDR: Food tastes great, service absolutely sucks, family got sick...

This location doesn't deserve one star I am a manager in a restaurant and I would never provide this type of customer service. I placed my order over the phone and even payed over the phone providing my personal info and I also give them my address the driver told me he was 9 minutes away three times over the phone an hour later I called the restaurant to speak to the manager and they didn't help at all they handed the phone to the driver complaining that he had 7 orders not been delivered because the lack of knowledge from the driver however the manager never apologized and give the phone to the driver and which is clearly not professional I just want my money back due to this horrible experience I will no longer be a customer in this location is very disappointing the type of service I received today and I also never...

Elle Valle used to be our go-to restaurant, but the Riverdale location has really gone downhill. This is the second time we’ve ordered from them, and both the food quality and customer service have been terrible. Whenever we raise a concern, they promise to “make it right next time,” but when we order again, it’s like they’ve never heard of the issue. Sometimes they even pretend not to understand us.

We spent $40 on a meal and were given burnt chicken. On top of that, they charge extra for garlic sauce and never include it. When we ask about it, it’s always, “Sorry, mommy,” with no real solution or effort to fix things. Do yourself a favor—don’t waste...
