Simple Motive Brewing Co. — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

First time at simple motive and I have to say service was excellent. The beer selection was amazing. Zack was a great bartender! They have a beer garden in the back which I got to check out however when I went back inside to close my tab ladys had already taken the liberty to close it for me adding a whopping 20 percent gratuity which I thought was extremely distasteful to say the least. She didn’t even make eye contact with me when explaining. She said she closed it because she thought I left. There was an outdoor event that listed it would last till closing. Her job was to come and tell customers outside that they needed to close their tabs. No offense to the amazing owners of this place but this woman taking the liberty of tipping herself 20% is just wild. Zack apologized and wanted to reverse the transaction and she didn’t like that idea her face said it all. Because I enjoyed his service so much I didn’t make a big deal. Don’t know who this ladys woman is but she is definitely not someone you want working in customer service. I would totally come here again but I don’t want ladys anywhere near my money and I certainly do not want her service either. The manager named Ladys was very unkind and rude. I called like 6 times over the course of the afternoon yesterday to ask if I could bring my pup but they didn't answer their phones. My sister arrived there around 8pm and said there were 2 poodle-like dogs at the brewery so it was assumed I could bring my beagle. When I shortly after arrived, the manager came up to me as i was greeting my sister to tell me I had to leave because dogs are not allowed. She didn't care to hear me out about the phone calls I made or to explain why there were 2 other dogs there just prior. She didn't empathize w/ me or problem solve , she just walked away with an attitude and was talking to another employee , her back to me , until I left. How cowardly and unprofessional. I will never go back to this place as they don’t deserve my money. You could've been nice about it first of all or you could have let me stay and give me a break and advise me that next time I should not bring my dog. We were set on having a local untraditional wedding and came across Simple Motive Brewing. Upon visiting the space in person we fell in love with the asthetic and their lake beer. Although they were fairly new establishment when we committed, Ladys was beyond kind, flexible and helpful so we felt at ease from the start. I’m so happy to say they DELIVERED and some. Ladys and her team decorated the space just as anticipated. The bartenders Dan and Zach were extremely efficient and a pleasure to be around. They even made sure that I (the bride) got my cocktails served in the special goblets we rented. We were also gifted a bag with a few of our favorite beers and two simple motive glasses.
