I was severely thrown off by the good reviews this place had. It's possible that the location used to be better or they had an off day. But I can tell you, if you got the food we did today? You would also be dissatisfied.

Now the breakdown: The service was lovely, and attentive, prices were decent. 4/5

The food? Abysmal. Nothing that will make you sick, mind you, but we had two plates from this place which came with two sides apiece. 1/5

The sides feel as though they came directly off of a ABC Foods truck, and lacked any form of home-made anything.

Mac and Cheese? -- Worse (as in flavorless and super processed) than what you'd get making a box of Kraft. 1/5 Green beans? Felt like they came straight from a can. 1/5 Cole Slaw? -- Cabbage diced, without any flavoring or salt. 1/5 All of the plates comes with slices of white bread in sandwich bags. Not Texas Toast, or a roll, and the establishment lacked cornbread. 1/5

The meats? This is where things were a slight uptick but not enough to save this review--or our lunches.

BBQ Pork -- Largely flavorless, lacked smokiness, was not marinated nor spiced in any way. Tender, but lacked any character. 1/5 Ribs -- Tender, and cooked but also lacked any smokiness or flavor. Adding BBQ, Hot sauce, Salt, and Pepper saved these a bit 2/5

Lovely people, good service, just not...

Small, and not a lot of parking. Was busy when we went. There is a lot of walk in and carry out customers. We were a party of 4 and a baby and had steaks. Two of us on a ticket each with a steak and double salad (extra dollar per salad) no potatoes, one water and one tea, was $50 plus including the tip. Seemed a little pricey, but the steaks we're good. There is a lot of self service. We fixed our drinks and had to get refills ourself. We also had to take our plates to the trash, which is a less than expected for a sit down style BBQ joint. All in all it was good, I'd go back and I'd recommend trying it. Down Home Decorations...The Food is Absolutely, Amazing!🍔🍟🤩🙌 The Food, Price and Friendly People working there makes it so worth going back again & again. I bought A half Hickory, Chicken then went back and bought 3more right after cause it taste so Tender & MmMmmMm GOOD!!!! and let me tell ya, the Chicken tasted so good, was very! Tender pulled Chicken on the softest, big Hamburger Buns, the BBQ Sauce is just so very! tasty 🤤 matching the Hickory taste of the Smoked, Tender Chicken.
