Five Guys — Restaurant in Clarksville

Now, this place usually deserves 5 stars, but in today (Friday evening 9/10/21 around 1530 or 3:50 pm) the service was very unprofessional and made me feel like there was some type of discrimination, being that I was the only black person in the restaurant at the time that I could tell.

There were maybe 8 or so customers and I saw 4 ladies behind the counter. I ordered online and it said proceed to the pick up area at the counter. I stood there for almost 10min before I finally asked if my order was received. I was told yes and that it would be a few more minutes on my fries. The few minutes I'd already wasted waiting to be acknowledged🤦‍♀️

Mind you, all 4 ladies saw me and never said a thing. Now, how would you feel?

This review is about individuals, not the food. Just yet anyway, being that I've yet to eat because I'm becoming very big on telling "the people" the truth in these reviews and had to get this out. Owners, yall need to step up cause it's people like this that hurt the business.

AND I TIPPED BEFORE I EVEN WALKED IN THE DOOR. I WANTED MY MONEY BACK🤨

FIVE GUYS on MADISON IN...

Came here tonight and I want to shout out all the employees there. It’s Friday night around 5:00 PM. Did it take a little longer to get my food than I anticipated? Yeah definitely, but it was at no fault of the staff. Seems like there was some sort of technical difficulty. They were still getting orders out, just not in the correct order. Once they realized what the issue was they everything in order but it seemed like for some people there it was too late and they were already annoyed. Keep in mind okay it is Friday night at 5:00 PM. You’re going to have to wait some no matter where you go. The staff was so apologetic the entire time and they were so sweet. They were very calm and they worked together really well, and it seemed like some of the staff were new. They just did a really great job, things got a little mixed up but it wasn’t their fault. Things happen, and I know the job is not as easy as it looks and I hope other customers will show some grace to service workers when things aren’t going perfectly! Food...

This was our first visit to a Five Guys, as we don’t have any in our area. The restaurant was really clean and as we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and kindness. The person at the register could tell we weren’t sure about things and picked up on the fact that it was our first visit. She was very helpful and informative telling us all about the menu and how it works.

The food came out really quickly and omg it was SO fresh!! Everything tasted like it was prepared and cooked right then. The burgers were delicious, and cooked perfectly so that you have just the right amount of juiciness, without having a puddle of grease left behind. The fries were SO good and freshly made! They were seasoned so well too!

They also had free peanuts you could get and the drink machines that have a ton of different flavor options. They weren’t quite as crispy as I prefer but were still good!
