La Loma Restaurant — Restaurant in Clarksville

Decent food. Not bad, just underwhelming. I got the combination plate with a taco, chalupa and a burrito.

For the most part, it was just shredded chicken and tortillas. A little cilantro and onion on the taco, melted cheese on the chalupa, and some sauce on the burrito. But it was rather plain and lacking in flavors. And it was all kind of soggy.

It tasted like something you would make in your kitchen if you didn't want to cook, but had some leftover shredded chicken and tortillas in the fridge.

Where's the tomatoes, the lettuce, sour cream, beans, rice?!

We're used to Tex-Mex, places like El Nopal & Señor Iguanas, so maybe we had unfair expectations of the type of food this place serves.

I do want to check out the grocery store next door, so maybe I'll give this place another chance and get a main entree instead of a combination plate.

As it stands, I'm still looking for that local Mexican restaurant that knocks...

Food is pretty good, but we didn't even get forks, and when we asked for them we still didn't get them. You have to ask for refills on everything rather than getting them brought to you like it's supposed to be like with the chips and salsa and drinks. We asked for a chicken and chorizo Taco since all they have on the menu is steak and chorizo and they told us we couldn't do that even though we did it the last time we were there. Then after we explained like 10 times they were like "oh a chicken and chorizo Taco? We can do that" even though that's what we were saying the whole time. Pretty lousy service but...

Worst carne fries ever. To call these Cali papas should be illegal. More like Indiana knock off fries. I guess being no where near where all the best Mexican food is in AZ I shouldn’t be surprised. No salt on the fries not to mention crinkle cut fries the whitest cheapest fries you could get but this place is clearly about profit instead of making the best food known to man. REAL MEXICAN FOOD. Hardly any guacamole. For $17 it should be $7. I use to get 2am carne fries through the drive through that were cheaper and better than this. Get better...
