I was in wanting to see what was available and make a purchase of a few things that I was wanting, but was in there for almost 15 minutes and no one would speak to me. It was a little odd with employees chatting with each other but ignoring me as a customer when I was clearly waiting for a break in their conversation about sports to ask some questions about products. They just kept talking glanced at me every once in a while but didn't have any interest in stopping their conversation long enough to welcome me in as a customer or even tell me "be with you in just a minute..." If I'm going to be treated in an impersonal way, I guess I'd rather spend my money online Instead of supporting the local retailer,as I tried. Sometimes the words "You're not wanted here" don't need to be spoken out loud to be conveyed. Blatantly ignoring a customer they don't recognize in their shop (as it was the first time I had been in) is so rude. I got the message and left. I'm sure the business owner spends a fair amount of his life Complaining about how tough it is to compete with all of the online retailers, as a small business. Well, a bit of employee training would go a long way toward customer relations. Though, maybe it was the owner ignoring me, for all I know. I just saw the owner response, a month after I left my review, calling me a Troll. How rude. I am a level 7 local guide, with over 4000 contributions to maps, and about 300 independent reviews and map photo views in the millions. I am not a troll, and I give many positive reviews. Anyone looking at my review history will see the main thing that results in negative reviews is when people are rude or I am ignored. I assure you I was attempting to buy some RC gear for my 1/10 scale cars. They are old and I wanted to update them with new speed controllers, batteries, and chargers, etc., and I knew a local shop would be much better than an online store . I can verify my date and time visiting the store by my maps history. Instead of inquiring about how it might be made right or a bad review could be turned into a positive one through good customer service, I am instead called names. How typical for someone who owns a store where I was already ignored when trying to spend money. Just because the owner of this business didn't understand or agree with my review, doesn't make me a liar. Remind me about that my review is fair based on my experiences. It wasn't even a one-star review. At this point, I wish it had been. It seems justified at this point. I don't work for some rival shop, I'm a healthcare worker. I don't have an axe to grind, as I'm new to this area and I have no experience with any of these local stories. I was trying to spend money and support small businesses in my new hometown, and I was treated badly. It is pretty easy to see for yourself that the owner must have their own way of doing things that does not include experiences that are not their own. Had I been reached out to and offered an opportunity to come in and experience something different there might have been an amended review, but after being called names, why would I ever? It makes one wonder: If you have your own complication with a sale there, for whatever reason, how will you be treated? I decided to go into the store in person and try and make sure that they understood that I am a real person and not just somebody online posting junk. I also wanted to make it clear I wasn't out to get anything from them. I don't want a discount, I don't want something free. Apparently it is the store manager & not the owner who is the one who responded to my review. I was calm & peaceful and he was pretty firm in his defense of what he had to say. He maintained that no one watches Sports in the store and no one talks Sports in the store so my review can't be accurate. I offered him the dates and times of my visit so he can see who would have been present at the time of my visit. He said it doesn't work like that there and that information wasn't wanted. Sadly, nothing is resolved. I know what happened to me.

I was needing help finding a few things for my 1/16 Traxxas when I stumbled across Asylum Xtreme. They were very kind in helping me find everything that I needed. Well not everything, but what they didn't have in stock they offer to order for me which I declined because there was another shop not far that actually had the part. No offense against Asylum but I needed the part that day and not a few days down the road. I appreciate everyone's help and effort in searching for the correct parts needed. Definitely recommended if you own an RC and even if you do not own an RC go check them out you may be surprised, you might wind up being the owner of new or used RC.

Just discovered this gem of a hobby store a few weeks ago being close to my work and not having a hobby shop close to home. Great selection of hobby quality RC vehicles from stuff on tires, planes, helicopters and boats and what looks like to me, paintball and airsoft stuff. Staff has been SUPER helpful answering all my questions and getting me the parts I need to get up and running again. Everything I bought from them I could get on Amazon except their prices are actually less expensive than Amazon and that way I can support a local small business. If you're into any of these types of hobbies and you're close by I recommend stopping by to check them out.

I have purchased items from this store before and not had very good service but I tried to look past that and I went there this evening to purchase a plane. I got off work and went straight there I got there a half hour before they close I looked around for just a few minutes then told them what I wanted and I asked a question about another item that was there that I was interested in and neither one of the workers there knew anything about the drone I was interested in so I went to get my plane down it was on display. Now I wanted to get the plane back in the box so it would not get tore up. The older gentleman that was working tried to help but was overridden by the younger gentleman and told that they would not do it per the manager over the phone. Now I had just spent 800+ dollars and I was made to feel like my purchase didn't matter but as I was leaving I noticed something else that caught my eye and so I asked a question about it and got egnored finally the younger worker turned and stated that he was walking out the door in a minute and he wasn't taking the time to answer my question. Now it was just one question so I knew whether to come back the next day to purchase the item. With everything that happened I still left the store before closing time. I've spent a good bit of money at this store to be made feel like I'm bothering them. So now instead of spending money in my community they have lost me as a...

I started in the rc hobby in 1987, life got busy and i stopped the hobby in about 2005. I finally am to a point i want to get back in the hobby again..things hsve chsnged and progressed alot in 15 yrs since i stopped so i wanted to visit asylum today and see what the hobby looked like now and to ask questions...there was 2 guys in the store and i dont know names but the bigger guy was friendly so i proceeded to adk questions and he told me idk im new to rc myself and do not know alot..okay i thought thats understandable, but the other guy smaller fellow thin build didnt catch a name because he sat there behind the counter listening to my questions to the other guy but completely ignored the whole interaction basically like he was so uninterested... so here i am wanting to get back in the hobby for somethin the kids and i could have some fun at home together..i left there with not a single simple question answered..i was very dissapointed that was my 1st experience at asylum... not to mention i was prepared to buy 3 team losi mini t's at 139 bucks a piece but, with the way i was basically ignored by the guy who was the more knowledgable..and yes i was the only customer in the store..i really want to support my lhs..i just dont know if i will go back and spend...
