Went here for my bday dinner with my family at the beginning of March. We ordered the blooming onion for an appetizer. It came out burnt & super oily. The server took it away and off the bill. My son order the fried Mac and cheese balls (which I did take a pic of, I just didn't think about taking the pic of the bloomin onion), the fried mac & cheese ball was also burnt taste in your mouth (pic attached). A short time later, the cook brought out another bloomin onion. I haven't been here in years, either the way it's made has changed or the oil really needed to be changed for the fryer. The look and the taste are way different than I remember. So, for my main dish, I ordered the Queensland Chicken & Shrimp pasta. The picture made it look like it wasn't your basic Alfredo sauce, and the description was grilled chicken & shrimp & fettuccine noodles tossed in a "bold alfredo sauce". When it came out the presentation was terrible, the shrimp looked as if they were still raw, absolutely no seasoning on them and it looked like an after thought, like oh its missing shrimp, throw me some and use the bowl to catch them. It was insane. The alfredo in the menu looked like it was gonna be maybe Cajun or something. It came out as your basic white sauce. I decided to at least try it. It was more than basic, no garlic in it, no seasoning, and to top it off COLD. Cold as in they assembled it and put it in the walk-in fridge for a few hours COLD and then took it out and served it. The server said he would have it "remade," and once again, how is it cold. So I had that taken off, and my kids said mom, you know you should never order pasta at a steak place. So, there is no appetizer, and no entrée for me. Worst bday dinner to this day. On top of that, the server was really condescending. I'm not the type to really complain & and only if it's really just that bad. This is one of them days that it was really just that bad. Nobody really liked anything that was ordered. It was a waste of time & money. The prices there for the food are really over-priced. Quality just isn't there, or it could be all the excuses the server gave. I was a server in my younger years and 3 of my kids with me for dinner work at a nearby restaurant. It was obvious from our server that there were issues. When I was a server the restaurant I worked at did not play with any excuses and QA made sure everything was as pictured before going to customer and not just thrown on a plate like what was served to me. If the food being served isn't up to par, the server should not be condescending along with bad food. That equals to customers not returning, period. I would rather be told that things were off and not waste the time there and leave without eating. Everything from this restaurant left a bad taste in my mouth and would not return. Having been there as long as we were and having to pick up fast food on the way home was just not cool. Hope it's not always...
Read moreI wish I could give a better review than this but unfortunately I can't. The first time we went the visit was GREAT, however these last two times were so bad we will not be returning to this restaurant. The second experience, I stopped in for lunch, the place was practically empty, MAYBE six tables and it took over an hour for me to get my food after I placed my order, I'm not even sure what the issue was for it to take that long as I ordered something fairly simple - at least I thought I did. This last time I gave them the benefit of the doubt, maybe new people during my last trip but that didn't seem to be the case. We were given a 20-25 minute wait time, no big deal as it was a Friday night. There were so many empty tables there shouldn't have been a wait at all. We were finally seated and I don't know how long before the waitress finally came to take our order, we ordered an appetizer and let me tell you, cheese fries never looked so disappointing (LOL), I made a joke about it to lighten the situation but the waitress immediately took off and said nothing, she came back a few minutes later to take our dinner order and she NEVER mentioned that they were out of one item I had asked for until after our food was brought to us. When I asked for the manager she seemed as if it was too much work for her but she spoke with him and he eventually came over. When we explained the situation even he didn't seem like he cared, mind you, as we were getting ready to leave Outback, HE THE MANAGER brought another table two of the items that he told us they had run out of...REALLY? You don't tell one table one thing then a few minutes later bring what was supposedly out of. The whole situation last night could have been handled better than what it was, and from the time we got there until we left even some of the staff seemed as if they wanted to walk out. After these past two experiences, we'll go to one of the many other restaurants in the area. Granted the issue may be small but between the wait time to be seated, to be acknowledged, the screw up of meals, the lack of care to even fix the issue wasn't there. It would take a miracle for us to even go back there but as long as we'll be here we won't be going back because we can get better...
Read moreCannot state here how disappointed I am to leave this review. Living in Hoptown, about 45 mins north, we come to Clarksville to eat somewhere nice and to shop for things you don't want to buy at Walmart. We arrived on 4/20 at about 6 p.m. Put our names in for early arrival and found a couple of seats at the bar that had just been vacated. We sat down and 5+ mins later the bar keep helper finally came by and said we'll clear those dishes in a minute. Well 5 mins later the bar tender hadn't even looked at us. I went back to the front and asked that our names be put back on the call ahead list since it didn't seem like we would get served at the bar. A gentleman at the front who looked like a manager, asked what was going on and I told him the above. He said he would take care of it. Went back and sat down and things appeared to speed up a little. However, the bartender Kendra didn't come by until 90% of the dishes had been cleaned and pretended like she cared long enough to get a cloth out and wipe a little bit. We finally got our drinks and managed to get an app order in. The grilled shrimp came out with no sauce and looked like they had been dropped on the way out. Finally got the dipping sauce then got two more. Saved it for the broccoli. Long story short, what should have taken no more than an hour to get in and get out, took 2. Literally took us 30 mins to get boxed up and leave. We got 2 to go deserts that took more than 10 mins to come out. All in all the food was really good as is normal for busy Outback's. The bartender was so inattentive and aloof/condescending when she did stoop to speak to us that we will NEVER darken the doors again. Cheryl Catazano you should be ashamed. I am sure you have enough business that you don't need ours but one gentleman and another couple sitting next to us had the same issues. I hate it because we love Outback and will have to go all the way to Evansville which is well over an hour if we want a cold Foster's and...
