Review: This was our first time at Texas Roadhouse. We received a gift card for Christmas and decided it would be a fun date night. We didn’t expect it to be so crowded, but it turns out this location is quite popular. The wait was a little long, but once our name was called, we were shown to our seats by our amazing waitress, Aleah. She was kind, friendly, and patient—a rare find these days.
After Aleah placed a basket of fresh bread on the table and took our drink order, the manager, John, stopped by with a complimentary sample tray that included mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, brown and white gravies, mac and cheese, and a bag of peanuts. He gave us a brief history of the restaurant and shared a few tips, including how the app could have significantly reduced our wait time. His welcoming and informative approach made a great impression even before we tried the food.
For appetizers, we ordered the Combo Platter, selecting mild buffalo wings, rattlesnake bites, and potato wedges. The wings, though boneless, had decent flavor—far from the best, but certainly not the worst. The rattlesnake bites, Texas Roadhouse’s take on jalapeño poppers, were a bit disappointing. While the initial flavor was decent, the texture of the cheese was gritty and unappealing. The potato wedges, however, were exactly as expected—crispy and flavorful.
For entrées, we ordered the Half Slab Ribs and the Ft. Worth Ribeye. The ribs, while tasty, were slightly overcooked—something the manager had warned might happen depending on the cook. The ribeye was well-cooked (medium) and flavorful, but the steak sauce wasn’t great. Both meals came with mashed potatoes and green beans, which were well-seasoned and satisfying.
As for drinks, the peach tea had a nice balance of sweetness, while the raspberry lemonade was refreshing and tart. The highlight was the mango margarita with a salt rim—perfectly crafted and absolutely delicious.
This experience left a lasting impression, and we’ll definitely be back to Texas Roadhouse again.

Read moreWe got there for dinner and was told there was a 30min wait which is fine no issue. we waited inside got the text to gather our party and rechecked in with a curly hair hostess. Was told to sit down a someone would bring us to a table. 10 min go by and nothing , I get another text to gather my party. I walk back up and talk to a different hostess who says I was never checked in and will do so to have a seat an wait to be seated at a table. Another 10 go by an I’m watching people same party size (2 people) who walked in behind me an got on the waiting list after me being seated before me. Now I upset because after talking to two different people it’s obvious we’ve been singled out and avoided. My husband now goes to a third hostess after telling me to just be patient but from sitting an waiting we’ve watched these three teenagers talking to each other, every waiter that’s came to grab bread and the curly hair one on her cellphone. We’re both pretty upset as people from behind us continue to be seated and we’ve been ignored. Finally after the third hostess realized we were still there waiting after my husband talking to her , grabs us to take to a table and tells us she has no idea what happened and how we’ve been skipped multiple times. …….. (finally at a table) waited to get bread , ordered a appetizer an was told they don’t have any potato skins but we can order a baked potato? Oookkkk so obviously your apps are frozen not fresh. Waiter comes back with drinks takes our new order and we wait 10mins. Our app comes the same time as our salads. We start to eat the app and salads probably take two bites and our entrees are delivered. Ok sure. We both got steaks cooked rare so they should have plenty flavor an juice. Right? Wrong! Both steaks were not seasoned, very charred so you know the grills not cleaned and bland. After drowning it in A1 sauce to try to eat it , we both gave up and only ate the baked potato. So we never ate all or even half of our food. We both began feeling sick in the stomach and nausea so we payed and left. After leaving, the drive home was painful and had pains the next day as well.
I don’t know if we were singled out an got bad food because of it or if it was luck of the draw. I’m no longer eating at this...
Read moreI’m SO sick and tired of the HORRIBLE service in this restaurant … from the door to the table and everywhere in between! I will NOT be returning (or trying) again! We went online and reserved our spot. We got there and they told us they didn’t have our name? The girl up front was rude about it, too. I told her I was going to try to speak to a Manager and she told me I “can’t go in the restaurant until I get the text.” What? My wife asked me to just step outside. She was told we’d have to wait 25 minutes. After waiting for 35 minutes, I walked inside and inquired about time and was told, it’ll be about 15 minutes longer but “it could be longer because there are no guarantees.” I questioned the hostess and was told “I can just remove your name from the list.” Don’t threaten me with something so immature and silly!!! The same thing happened during a visit a few months ago and I was asked to please return and give them a 2nd chance! One time between then and now was better but far from what I’ve experienced in the past! There MUST be new management/leadership here? The thing is, as they say, the fish stinks from the head! The service problems are a reflection of poor leadership and failed (or limited) training. Why have call ahead seating if you aren’t going to adhere to it. And why tell someone 25 minutes if the time is going to be double that? Finally, why be rude to a customer. That should NEVER be acceptable! I’m well aware that the old maxim, “The customer is always right” is almost always wrong. But a customer should NEVER be treated like they’re wrong … or be treated rudely! So, again, I will NOT try Texas Roadhouse, again, or return. I won’t spend my time or my money at a place that has proven 2 out of last 3 times that they don’t value the patronage of customers and don’t care about them either …….
Note: Food has always been pretty solid and the atmosphere is pleasant. My 1 Star score relates ONLY to the service received! My score also relates only to the Clarksville,...
