I went on the 1st day it opened to support a new business and I really enjoyed the Thai tea with boba, my friend enjoyed her honeydew tea, and my daughter enjoyed her lychee slushy too. The one older Asian lady who worked there on opening day was amazing. Decor, absolutely beautiful.
The 2nd and most recent time I went, the black milk tea was terrible. My daughter got a lychee slushy again but she said it tasted just like water, compared to the 1st time. There is a lot of new, younger staff now so im not sure if theyre just not as adept at making the beverages? And service was not as great, I thanked them for my drinks and they didnt even acknowledge me.
Why is boba not included in base price, or at least 1st topping included? All of the places ive been to include the 1st topping (i've had bubble tea in South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, UK and various places across the US). Ive read your responses that you want to keep it "affordable", and you don't automatically include boba for people who "only want the tea"...people who want only tea arent coming to a BOBA shop for tea. Youre not making it affordable for those who want toppings but its your business model so 🤷♀️. Im spending close to $20 for 2 drinks and no loyalty card? I might give this place another go, but definitely not bringing my kids because prices end...
Read moreI grew up going to boba shops all over the Bay Area, so I’m always excited to try new ones! We first visited this spot in May and had a great experience, the olderish Asian woman working that day was incredibly friendly and helpful. My boyfriend ordered a multi-flavor smoothie, and she guided him through making it. It turned out amazing I regretted not getting one myself!
Unfortunately, our second visit today was the complete opposite. The older white man I guess manager or owner working was surprisingly rude. We understand if there are policies about custom orders, but the way he spoke to us was unnecessarily condescending. He made a snide comment about how we might not like the drink if he hasn’t tried that flavor combination himself, as if every mix must be pre-approved. Then he said whoever made it last time "shouldn't have," and asked for a name as if we’d remember every employee working there months ago. There was no offer of an alternative or helpful suggestion, just an awkward, uncomfortable exchange. We ended up walking out, which was really disappointing after such a great...
Read moreWe visited Koko Boba Tea for the first time today and loved it!!! I've been wanting good Boba for almost a year now 😅 I had my go to spot when we lived in MD and hadn't been able to find anywhere I enjoyed as well. Even living in Korea, I haven't found a place that made the type of drink I wanted. I ordered my usual drink that I would have at my old Boba place, a mango blended drink with strawberry popping Boba and crystal Boba and it tasted identical to the drink I had been craving for so long 😍 I couldn't have been happier. The atmosphere is so pleasant and aesthetic. From the moment you walk in, the people are so welcoming and friendly. They even offered to take a picture for me of my daughter and I 🥹 we also ordered a brown sugar milk tea with Tapioca Boba and a taro milk tea with Tapioca Boba as well. Those drinks were also very good 😋 highly recommend visiting if you are looking for good boba drinks and a nice relaxing place to enjoy them. Will be...
